Army-Tulsa recap....ohhhh 49-39

This deserves a seperate post.I was so off on this game.I watched the entire game and finally with about 5 minutes to go ,Tulsa up by 10 with the ball on the Army 5 yd ..they fumble..I was going to say..what an ugly win but I'll take it.But that didn't happen..Tulsa had 622 yds vs Army's defense.I never saw more trick plays in a game.Reverses,halfback options,etc. then Army fakes a FG and gets a 1st down...great game to watch...but a lot poorer..
Todays sports headlines read " Game Lost;Leader Found"..Armys qb Williams who was benced twice in the past two weeks completed his 1st 12 passes..Williams was 26-38 for 328 yds..On armys 1st possession,a 2 play 94 yd ,23 second score.
Not making any excuses for me.Tulsa defense which held Houston to 7 pts the week before couldn't stop the Cadets.Army did a great job scouting this team..Tulsa I think took them lightly at 1st..and there defense was so bad.
I'm sorry for leading a lot of you down the wrong path...when it comes to Army and MAAC basketball teams esp Marist I take pride in steering you in the right direction.
I wish Army had won. they outplayed the No 2 offensive team in the nation and traded pts with them up until the end.
Went 3-1-1 yest winning with Memphis,Ohio St and Boise St..pushed with WV...but I had a lot of boxes on Tulsa...gotta run..Have a few hoops games to do..Empty nest...kids all gone...wife is working a 12-hour shift...and the Giants are on TV...
harleytiger..I didn't take that in a negative way...but if anyone wanted to kick me in the butt I deserve it...Navy-Army..wow..on Dec 1st.The over will be around 72...GL

I had the same read on this game Box ~ never did i see Army putting up 39 pts. :shrug:

I won with some others, no big deal. I think you were right with your feel for the game, it just went the other way.

Box keep them coming and you bet I am on your next big one, due to respecting and valuing your write ups. The Jm basketball pick was exactly what I was looking for to get me out. No need for explanations on that game, funny how the ball bounces sometimes.
