:director: Took a 4 hour drive to El Paso, Texas Wednesday night and played in a hold-em home game. Got to bed at 4 am so i was pretty tired when my plane left for dallas/cincy at 9 am thursday morning. Arrived in Cincinnati and the cab driver had no idea where Belterra casino/resort/spa was. :nono: lol
I got to the casino at 430 pm and went over to hit a few golf balls at the practice range and i got caught in a big down poor,lol so i ended up spending a hour shopping in the pro shop and bought a bright orange and bright green out fit to wear for the two day golf tournament. I figured that i have such a bullseye on my back anyways i would let everyone know where i am on the golf course in case they wanted to hit at me,lol
When i got to the friday golf match there was Jack and a guy whom i had talked to on the phone but had never met in Chad. He asked me if i was ARROW and that he heard i needed a partner due to Wineguy not being able to make it at the last minute. I asked him if he golfed, and he said "little bit" lol I was vey lucky to have paired with the top golfer in the event. :00hour He only sot a 74 friday,lol Chad you are awesome, i had a blast with you and Jessie.
We teamed up with swig and wayne and they were fun to golf with and i was the worst golfer of us four! I let them take me for about 600. for both days, planning on setting them up for bigger bets next year,lol
Friday night we had a great dinner with Chad and Jessie and my wife and I. Lots of seafod and steaks and chad really hammered the shrimp cocktails. I bought a few rounds of Jagerbombs and was surprised there were quite a few guys who actually drank them. Swig was a sissy
and was a no show, but others stepped up.
After dinner i was doing good in black jack, :0corn playing 100.- 600. a hand i was up a couple thousand while chad was standing behind watching, but chad left and then i lost 5700. in ten straight hands. I said fuck it, and took the wife upstairs for 5700. worth,:142smilie lol she laughs!!! The wife really enjoyed the night out and says thanks to the many whom talked to her and were very nice, and Jessie ,she thought you were the bomb, thank you!
Saturday came and 830 came a little early kurby as i had to get the dog out of my room that chad and i snuck into the hotel room when they were busy not looking. I took the dog out to the truck , went to get something to eat at the snack bar with Chad and Jessie and two security guys come up to us and asked "do we have a dog here",lol two dipshits, was so funny! I said i did until i found out the hotel did'nt accept pets so i took the dog back out to the truck. They said" good because we got a report you had a dog" dah!!!!
I got beat again in golf saturday, nothing new!opcorn2 Chad shot great, I only won two holes for him, although he still played solid with no help! Saturday night came and my luck changed a bit. Got em for 1300. the first time in black jack. went and played next to Allen in 1-2 hold em. I really enjoyed spending time with Handicapper, he is a solid person, lots of fun. It was a tough older table with not much action and Allen had pocket aces like 6 times in a hour so i felt good grinding out a 35.00 profit! lol
Then i talked the poker manager to allow me to come over and play in the other poker table with the madjacks players. :shrug: That was fun guys. Joker and 65 are solid, Roll Tide needed some help,lol Cashed out a 515.00 winner so it was fun, only Jessie i kinda beat up with my set of dueces so i was trying to beat the locals and have them hate me,lol I then went back to the blackjack tables and played 500. per hand for 15 minutes and beat em out of 4500. So a good day at the tables, and then it was out to dinner!
We had two tables at this dinner and i really enjoyed myself as i got a chance to spend some quality time talking to Joker, 65, PBart, nick from detroit and Roll Tide who was hilarious, i enjoyed buying him shots until he fell into the fire place. Glad he was fine and i thought he took it well. :scared Your a fun guy, thank you! I found out Joker was a author, and i bought his book, paid cash, no reciept! :nono: lol I look forward to reading it and my wife probably will to! Nick from Detroit is a nurse and his wife to is in the medical field also, very nice couple!
PBart works as a receptionist for a law firm for the past ten years. I stayed away from PBart as we surely had our differences but we shook hands , apoligized, and had a few good laughs, mostly at others people expense,lol Thank you for manning up, and i look forward to seeing you again, your a good guy bro!:toast:
My only real disapointments were that a certain few got to messed up and had to be woke up, bitch slapped, clothed, and basically herded to the dinner.lol I should'nt mention who they were but FDC and Jack and Whatshisnuts might be able to tell you all. lol I only got to buy em a few drinks and did'nt get to spend a lot of time with em. But i at least got to hear all the laughs from the others who golfed with them and the FDC pool episode from Chad, :mj07: Damn i wish i would of saw that one!!!!
Betone was cool as ever, a good guy, but i heard he played golf like me though,lol Allen was great to talk to you, congrats on member of the year, you deserve it bro! Nol , you seemed nice, i enjoyed playing poker with your wife, she was pretty solid. You looked like you had a lot of fun. And those other guys who were nice to me but i can't remember your names, thank you for a great time.
All i ask is next years event be somewhere where they have a bigger poker room with a little higher limits. Other than that, i'm sorry wineguy did not make it and hope Angela is ok bro! I have a year to practice golf, and look forward to meeting even more of you guys at the next Super Bowl party.
