wyndham resort : casablanca casino ask for Thomas Chung he is the VP of casino marketing and will set you up to be rated. Great Guy! Great Comps ! Very small casino and the dealers truly make playing BJ fun again. They talk have fun and are not assholes looking to take all your money. Make sure you eat dinner in the fine dining restaurant @ the WYNDHAM if I remember correctly it was pan -asian or seafood ! It was outrageous and have a HOUSE DRINK its served in a big bowl glass its a tropical drink !

ENJOY! Aruba is a island of beauty....

Also do the the jeep tour and make sure you do a horseback riding on the beach !

I'm freakin jealous!! I love aruba, friendly people, 85 degrees everyday w/a 25 MPH wind.

As soon as you get there make a reservation at Elgaucho's(sp), it's the best beef I've ever had. There used to be an all male review at Lacana(sp), it was hilarious, just do the show, not the dinner.

I agree w/HR, the jeep tour is the balls, make sure the tour includes snorkling at depalm island, huge parrot fish, bring an underwater camera. There are 13 casinos on this small island,so take your pick.

They have a pirate ship that alows you to swing out into the water and in the evening the ship becomes a night club. I don't think I'd be swinging in the h20 @ night:nono: , the option is available.

I enjoyed gambling at the Radisson resort. It was smaller than some of the others, but the dealers were great and the idea of "gambling under the stars" was pretty cool (the ceiling looks like an observatory with stars everywhere). Here is some other friendly advice for your trip...

(1) watch out for Iguannas and Swifts, they are everywhere!!

(2) if you are staying in the "Resort Area" spend at least one day in town (Oranjestad) looking around. There are some pretty cool shops/restaurants there (great prices on Rolexes).

(3) have dinner at the "Driftwood" in Oranjestad one night...great seafood.

(4) use the public transportation system (bus) to get around as it is MUCH cheaper than getting cabs.

(5) I would NOT recommend the "Safari Aruba" trip. I thought it was pretty lame, although you do get to see the "desert" part of the island.

(6) If you get sunburnt, get some Aruba aloe, that stuff is great (www.arubaaloe.com).

(7) have dinner at "The Sunset Grille" at the Radisson one night, it is a FANTASTIC restaurant....you HAVE to eat there.

Have fun!!! I'm definitely jealous. :D

I go to Aruba every winter for two weeks. Absolutely love it! It's got everything for everyone.

My suggestion: rent your own jeep, grab a good tour book before you leave for the island, and do your own tour. You will have a blast driving the sucker.

A few weeks ago when I did this (again!), the guy who gave me the jeep at the rental said: "ya, it's got a few dings in it. I expect that when your return it, it will have a few more. Have fun."

All the restaurants mentioned are good ones. Watch the expense. Aruba can be very expensive. Try some local joints: King Ribs, for example, the best ribs I've ever had! And give your wallet a break every now and then.
