asking for advice on pending parlay

asking for advice on a parlay,
first of all i want to say thanks, i love reading this madjack site, daily when i can. hope this is ok to ask for this type help.
i have a parlay pending, all winners except for the 2 nfl games pending;
9/10/2003 9:29 AM Parlay 12.00 1,000.82
Football - 189 Miami Dolphins -3 +100 for Game
Football - 218 Minnesota Vikings -8? -110 for Game
Baseball - 951 Florida Marlins/New York Mets over 8 -115 for Game
Baseball - 956 Atlanta Braves -117 for Game
Baseball - 962 St Louis Cardinals -180 for Game
Baseball - 967 Boston Red Sox -1? -155 for Game
Baseball - 970 New York Yankees -1? -170 for Game
Baseball - 980 Seattle Mariners -170 for Game

is hedging a possibility?...

Sorry that I can't give you any good advice, but I don't know squat about either parlays or hedging. :shrug: Hopefully somebody here will step up and help you out. Good luck.

I don't know, blue. Since one game is early, the other is late, the only thing I can think of is to put, say, 220 on the Jets+3. If the Jets cover, then you're still up around 208, losing only the 12 dollar parlay. If Mia covers, then put another 440 on the Bears. If the Bears cover, then you take back about 200 overall, after losing the parlay. If the Vikes cover, then you take home 340 net, winning the parlay while losing 660 on NYJ and Da Bears.

I'm sure someone else has a better idea. Maybe Fletch can help if he sees this thread. Good luck with the parlay.

Personally,

I would play a "Hedge" after that first game is over. No reason to throw away more money when you still have 2 games left on a parlay. If you win the first game, then you are guaranteed to win $$$$, so be patient and see if that first game is a winner on Sunday!!!!
