i went through my elimination process. i don't view the games in depth during this process. i only have 2 sheets i look at and if the game doesn't pass, i move on. if it looks like something might be there, i dig deeper later on by throughly handicapping the games.
mil/cub--eliminated--at a glance, it looks like the cubs, especially at home, but no way i lay -170. no handicapping this game.
mon/pit--i might have to cap this game SOON before the line moves up too much. pitching matchup favors MON big time and looking like pit is back to their normal form....losing. i'll dig into this game with a possible bet on MON.
phi/fla--i think the wrong team is favored here. i have to look at the game more closely. possible play on phi.
atl/met--i will have to look closer at this game. it's gonna be atl or nothing on this one.
cin/hou--man! all these away teams. i'll look at this game as well and come back with a bet on cincy or nothing.
sf/stl--have to look at the game. i need reasons to bet on sf or pass. i won't bet a team that has lost 2 or more games in a row (stl-2), but i WILL bet against those. 'the streak is your friend'. it'll be sf or pass.
ari/col--eliminated--looks like an obvious bet on schilling but coors field does strange things to pitchers. pass
sd/lad--have to take a look. lad at home at a reasonable price. it'll be lad or nothing and if the line goes higher than -120, it'll be nothing.
tor/bos--eliminated--can't bet tor right now, especially on the road and not laying -150 on weak assed hitting bos right now. there are better games to bet on today, i'm sure. pass
min/det--eliminated--not even going to bother with this one.
cws/bal--wow. have to look at this one. reasonable price on hot cws, i like mercedes and it could be an under play. i like looking at games like these. who knows what i'll come up with.
nyy/tb--eliminated--can't bet tb and can't bet yanks on inflated price. both teams struggling. pass.
cle/kc--have to look closer at a possible cle bet on this one. are they back in early form? i'll find out.
ana/sea--eliminated--the big price again and i don't want to bet against sea at home either. pass.
tex/oak--eliminated--tex sux and i'm not laying 200 on oak? sheese! talk about inflated.
that leaves 8 games for me to handicap today. the plays i come up with will be on my page by 630pm.
