start giving DET credit and admitting that their unbeatable Lakers are terribly overrated.
After Game 1, when the Pistons beat the crap out of the Lakers, I thought that maybe just maybe the California guys on this board would at least give credit to the Pistons and admit that this was going to be series.
Never happened. Instead the excuses flowed in from all the California posters. Lakers role players missed easy shots. Blah Blah Blah.
After Game 2, when the Pistons again outplayed Los Angeles I thought that, hey, with DET controlling both games in LA the California guys would be man enough to admit their Lakers were overrated.
Never happened. More excuses and crying.
To top it all off, after Game 3 when the Pistons destroyed the Lakers by twenty damn points, there are still brainwashed California people that think the Lakers are getting screwed and are still unbeatable.
What is it going to take for you guys to admit your team is simply an above average team that is far from the Lakers teams of the past.
I think listening to some of these people cry about fouls is the funniest thing ever.
Do fouls have anything to do with
The Pistons suffocating LA and forcing them into terrible shots? The Pistons controlling the glass? The Pistons forcing the mediocre LA role players into turnovers.
The excuses are amazing. I don't care if the Lakers go on to win the series 4-2. Listening to the Lakers fans cry is absolutely hilarious. Their distorted view of the world and the game of basketball is just stupid.

This is what I would like from all the Laker fans complaining. I just would like each of you to simply admit that the series was a toss up from the beggining and that there is no way the Lakers are head and shoulders above the Pistons and deserved to be favored the way they were. I don't want to fight, but just admit that you were brainwashed by the media and everyone telling you the Lakers were invincible and that the EAST didn't stand a chance.

Mjalam if it's offensive then your too sensitive. Fact is, the brainwashed people all happen to be from California. Are you included? Of course not. Your one of the smart ones. Unfortunately too many of your fellow statesmen don't have your intelligence ;)

might be stretching it a little to lump all of the California people on the Laker bandwagon. Fact is, I, along with most people (not just Laker fans) thoguht that the West would once again roll over the East coast champ. However, my opinion was changed pretty quickly...which enabled me to make a nice profit on the last game with Detroit and the under. I do think the series will get a little closer, but I'm looking for Detroit to close it out in 6 games.

Every time you count these guys out, they surprise the heck out of you. I don't know what to think. I think that it will still be a good series, and that LA will come back and win on Sunday.

Fact of the matter is: LA should be down 3-0. . . But they're not. I have a hard time seeing how LA will lay down, and let them close out the series - it may happen, but I would REALLY be surprised.

I thought that LA was done when they were down 0-2 to SA, but they surprised the hell out of me with that coaching adjustment against Parker/Duncan. Have they figured out a way to defend these guys? It doesn't look like it - but Sunday will be the game to watch to see if any adjustment was made that will give them a fighting chance. Deetwa shot the lights out in game 3 - will that continue? Kobe has been mysteriously absent from consistent contributions - does he need a trip to Denver to shake himself up? I love the Lakers, but don't know what in the hell to expect from them game to game. I sure as hell know that they can play better basketball than they have in any of these 3 games. I definitely give Deetwa their due, and take nothing away from them - I actually like that TEAM. & They are playing like a team. Rip, Prince, Billups, and Ragweed are great - and if they take it from the Lakers, then they sure as hell deserved it - I just can't see it happening - maybe I can't see through my "Purple haze colored glasses".
