There is no way I will bet on this game and I have been watching Atlanta close the entire season.

They do play well at home but it has to be at night for a game like this.

I have strong doubts that Atlanta will win this game but they are a fluky type team so you never know.

Seattle will stop the Falcons suck ass run game and Ryan will have to pass really well to avoid the Seattle rush.

Doubt the Falcons defense can stop Lynch from going over 150 yrds.

Wilson should also get his 100 yds

Falcons lose this and this town will be crazy against the Coachs and TD

Been too long not winning at least a playoff game

and against the worst seed in the playoffs in Seattle.

Falcons tried to make a statement by playing all starters the whole game vs Tampa . What championship team loses that game at home vs Tampa. ?

trouble..........

The Seattle Seahawks will face their divisional-round playoff battle at Atlanta without their top pass rusher, as defensive end Chris Clemons has a torn ACL, according to reports.

PAIN TRAIN
Injuries are a part of football, but these players have been hit particularly hard.

Clemons suffered the injury in Sunday's wild-card win at Washington and had an MRI that reportedly confirmed the injury on Monday. Clemons was not hit on the play and appeared to get his cleats caught in the turf at FedEx Field.

Clemons led Seattle with 11 1/2 sacks in the regular season. He had two tackles against the Redskins before being injured.

Seattle kicker Steven Hauschka also suffered a calf strain in the victory. Coach Pete Carroll said Hauschka felt better on Monday.
.....................................................................

anyone that knows Seattle team

who will replace Clemons ?

This could be a big advantage to Atlanta

No pressure on Ryan could be bad news for the seahags

The backup will be rookie bruce irvin who is mainly used on 3rd down to pass rush. that is all he is, a pass rusher... which could be ok in a game like this.

Does the whole west coast team playing at 1pm on the east coast mean anything in the playoffs?

thanks

One thing to note is that Atlanta has not in the past played well in 1 pm games when the stakes were on the line.

Falcons are so Jeckle and Hyde type team its not funny .

Huge pressure on the Falcons from the City to win this game.

Fans will turn on them quick if they get down in this game.

Atlanta has the best record but they don't have the best team. Seattle is a much better team, but rest and travel would not get me to put money on this game.

I am surprised that Seattle didn't stay on the east coast. Traveling from Seattle to Washington and then back to Seattle and back to Atlanta would have to eventually take a toll on a team. You would think that they will be feeling the travel affects by halftime.

They could but that would play a factor too.

lets see if "Joe Public" pushes it a little more.

this from a known accountant of such things.

keep in mind the game was open for action at -1 at some houses shortly after the Seahawk win over Wash

Atlanta will win and cover. Believe it or not, that -1 is out there to get Seattle money.

If they are looking for Seattle money they probably wouldn't have the #1 seed with the best record in football laying less than a fg @ home with an extra week of rest against a team who will have traveled across country 3 times in a weeks span:shrug:
Maybe I'm wrong but Seattle looks to be the play here. I think the big difference is we saw Seattle has the ability to get back in the game if they fall behind. Atlanta and Marty ice have the weight of the world on their shoulders here as a#1 seed. If they get behind early, the pressure will multiply and then:sadwave:

Atlanta wins by 1 ....

Seattle has been the most bet team since the midpoint basically....

Ofcourse vegas made this line low....they want even money and then they don't care who wins....

Anything more then a fg and the world would have been on seattle.....all they want is even money....

Honestly think this is a one point win either way..

Exactly. Why is Atl such a small fav??? It's to get people to ask that very question, then take Seattle. Matty Ice and Co. have been hearing shit for 2 weeks about how they need to win and haven't won in the past.....blah, blah, blah.........

And to think ATL can't come back after they're down is a little crazy.

The reason why ATL is a small fav is because they aren't the best team.

ATL could easily win. They are a good team and they are at home.
