ATL/SEA total play

I am going with the over 8.5 in this game for a few reasons, the first is that Maddux has been struggling all season, he is giving up runs at an alarming rate, the other reason is I am betting that the under trend for Wendelstedt will come to an end. He has 6 unders in a row and is is 60 - 40% under ytd, so I am betting that he comes back into line after 6 straight unders. Plus I like Atl bats in this one. I think each team can score 4 which means we'll have at least 9 in the game.

I respect your opinion but have to disagree with the analysis.

Most good cappers will tell you the trend is your friend. Why try and guess when a hot streak will end? Thats not handicapping, that's gambling.

fyi...Maddux has pitched better recently. He has only given up 1 HR and 2 BB's with a 2.17 ERA in his last four starts. That's pretty good.
