Would anyone really be shocked with Atlanta beating SF at home??

I wouldn't.

I actually intend to know people's thoughts, it's not merely a hypothetical. My first thought is SF, but I wouldn't be shocked by Atlanta winning at all.

Would you?

I am definitely waiting to see if this line keeps going up. The only thing that bothers me is the way ATL let Seattle come back from such a large deficit to take the lead. BTW I still think that football was juiced on the field goal, that would have been good @ 70 yards

what is Atlanta record at home with Ryan at QB?

And they are giving him points to boot???

Atlanta sounds like a pretty good bet to me...

Remember, SF lost late in the season to St Louis...

Never said that I would not be on Atl, just said I was undecided as of now. Atlanta could have very easily lost to Seattle. FWIW

of course not, and Atlanta getting more than a fg at home seems pretty tempting... having said that i haven't decided yet but i am leaning SF... :toast:

Assuming Atlanta beats SF, Atlanta fans better hope Baltimore wins this weekend, because they wouldn't be able to beat New England.

Three things that I'm looking at 1) harbAUGH HELLUVA ALOT BETTER COACH THAN sMITH2)Atl hasmajor problems with mobile qbs 3) Ryan makes terrible decisions in crucial times.

Disclaimer, I am a Falcon homer.

People are saying that Seattle should have won etc and I don't disagree with that. But Atlanta should play a helluva lot looser this weekend against the 49ers since they won last week. All Matty Ice has heard is how he can't win in the playoffs. This year it has been even worse. "#1 seed but they will still lose in the playoffs". Now that they have the proverbial monkey off their back they can play like they know how.

The secondary is pretty strong and can definitely handle the 49er receivers. The front 7 will be hurting without Abraham but they know they can stop Gore. On offense their receivers have a clear advantage against the 49er secondary. They will have to play good on the o line as Alton will be on Matty Ice in a second but they can scheme their way to protect even if it means only White, Jones, and Tony go out for passes. Bryant is better than Akers this year and neither return game scares anyone. It really comes down to stopping the read option against Kaepernick. And now that SF showed every card in the book against the Pack Mike Smith and Mike Nolan can prepare.

All of this said I truly believe the Falcons have a good chance to win. But I am a homer
