OK....with the picks outta the way here are some of the guys that are overvalued and undervalued this week.
Overvalued:
Dale Jr: He has raced well here in the past....BUT this car is not running right. He is loose and his crew has been unable to fix it up to this point. This is NOT a track not to be handling poorly. If his crew doesnt fix it before racetime, he will be rolling his car into the garage after hitting a wall. That is a promise
Waltrip: One of the other DEI cars is one of the worst in the field today. The DEI cars are almost too fast for this track, which is causing them to become loose, and handle like crap. Waltrip was terrible in Happy Hour, and he has not really been great here in the past. The fact that he is the points leader and Dayton winner, he is overvalued this week.
J Gordon: OK I am officially off the band wagon.....this guys pit crew just sucks. Gordon always has the setup correct at some time during each race, but it is never at the end. You always hear him say "He are loose now, and we are way tight." That isnt because the car is bad, or Jeff is a bad driver....if is because Robbie Loomis is a bad crew chief. Bottom line....that is why Jimmie Johnson is better than Gordon and has been for about a year now. He will be overvalued for most of the year.
Ward Burton: Bottom line this guy is lost this week. The team has been lost for most of the year, and they have been one of the worst cars here all week. Unless they solve something before racetime, they should be at the back of the pack....and that should show some negative value since he has been good here in the past
Undervalued:
Joe Nemachek: he is driving the number 25 car which he finished 2nd in last time in Atlanta...which is also the ride that Jerry Nadeau won his first race in and should have won his second race. This team is always set up the right way at this race track. If he finishes the race...he will be in the top 5, and very well could win this race....he is my number 2 selection.
Jerry nadeau: He is on another team, granted a team that isnt as good as the number 25 car, but Nadeau still knows how to get around this track. He has been fast all week, and will look to be a Top 5-10 car. This is much better than most tracks and for that is worth a shot in most matchups.
