...no, but I had the OVER thrown in a small parlay and they cancelled the game and paid me out at the lower rate!!!

...guess they figured that extra innings could have resulted in an extra couple of runs. ;)

...nice to have mother nature step in and help me out for once. LOL :D

I haven't had it happen to me yet, but in reading the rules at Pinnacle, I think I understand that totals plays count once the game goes into extra innings.

The total at the end of the last full inning played counts, unless the home team scores to tie the game in the bottom of the inning. Then the score at the time the game is suspended counts.

I had Atlanta on two doubles, which they paid at the rate the single team would have paid. I felt very fortunate to escape with that!

The game was cancelled entirely i.e. didnt happen doesnt show up in the books. The total here would / should only be paid out if there is a game to count which in this case there isnt. This is different than if there is a rainout in the 11th or ninth and the visiting team is up by a run. Here there was a tie and there are no ties in baseball. Just my opinion.

...heleanth, it was at pinnacle that they "cancelled" the game, as I had the OVER on a parlay - they just paid out at the lower rate. It was as if the game never happened, which was good for my little parlay. :D

Glad to hear that, Taoist... The rules relating to suspended games and totals are really hard to understand. I am glad it worked out for you.

I know my local bookie does not count any totals unless the game goes the at least full nine (8 1/2 if home team wins) AND the game is decided one way or the other.

Taoist, here is what it says in the Pinnacle Baseball Wagering Rules:

"When wagering on total runs (over/under) the game must go 9 innings (8.5 if the home team is ahead) to have action. If a game is called or suspended in extra innings, the score will be determined after the last full inning unless the home team scores to tie, or takes the lead in the bottom half of the inning, in which case the score is determined at the time the game is called."

Sounds like the bet should have counted, doesn't it? Anyway, I am glad they gave you the best deal. GL today!

...well, that Fukin' sucks!!!! I originally wrote off the parlay as a loss, but when I went to check the lines this morning, I noticed that PINNACLE had counted it as a win.....

That was then, this is now....

I log back on to place a few wagers and notice that the balance had gone down.... When I checked, they have now decided to count it as a loss!!! WTF?

...originally, I wouldn't have been angry, but after giving it to me, then taking it away, I'm wondering what in the hell is going on.... Now I'm a little mad.

I think they should have not counted the bet. How can they count an over bet as a loss when the game is not over???

Maybe if you protest, they will cut you a little slack.

GL today.

all books i know of will count that game as a 3-3 tie, push on the sides with totals and run lines counting as a bet.

Like Madjack has stated, all the books I currently use and have used in the past count the totals and runlines if the game goes at least 9 innings and is suspended. Moneylines will be pushed(cancelled)

OK BOTTOM LINE HERE

I had the over in the game last night and it was graded a loser.

That is OK with me (even though IT could have ver ywell went over in extra innings) AS IT LOOKS LIKE I was on the wrong side of the total.

In other words this game should be for record purposes an UNDER result based on the way the Game played out I would have been very lucky to win the over bet.

MY main concern, I am OK with it being a loser as long as YOU who played the UNDER received a winning result.

The books can keep the juice but no LOSE/ NO action.
Peace !
