Wednesday:
A mix of clouds and sun with gusty winds. High 81F. Winds ENE at 15 to 25 mph.
Wednesday night:
Mostly cloudy skies with a few showers after midnight. Low 69F. Winds ENE at 15 to 25 mph. Chance of rain 30%.

What do you guys make of this. I believe Fletcher talked about the wind in football games if its over 15mph it has an effect. . How does it effect baseball?

Any insight?

According to the stadium layout, I believe that those winds would be blowing IN from right or IN from center. One can always make a case for wind, whether it's helping balls go out or keeping them in. In some case, like Wrigley Field, I have seen the total get adjusted accordingly. However, this game's total has stayed the same, at least at my book. So even if that wind IS blowing in, and therefore should be keeping potential HR's in the field of play, the lines have NOT adjusted to account for this. Personally, I like the under to begin with, and if the wind is blowing in, then that's great by me.

Betjamaica has the total at 7.5under -145. Is that what other people have?
Seems like a lot of juice.

For what it's worth.....

Franco is doing the radio call and has been saying the wind is blowing out to (left) center. He's been commenting a number of times the ball is carrying well.

The wind was swirling like hell in the stadium today. The flags in the outfield seemed to all be blowing in different directions at different times.

As it looks right now, lots of showers and thunderstorms on deck for Thursday due to the tropical system. Any MJ'ers in Atlanta? We might need to make some party plans since the game looks like it will be cancelled.
