A bad decision, especially with jets receiving 2h kickoff with chance, albeit unlikely, to drive down for a TD to make this 3 score lead.
Since they couldn't cover a teaser, I'm glad the lost. If I'm the owner, I fire a guy for shit like that, he's made bad moves over past few years. You only get 16 games and I would not tolerate they stupidity
AGREED. I am a die hard Falcon fan ever since Steve Bartkowski and I thought when we got Mike Smith he was great. This year and last I have completely lost confidence in him and I now believe he is just an idiot. Arthur Blank should make the announcement to fire him tomorrow morning. His press release should read something like this:
At the end of the first half we should have kicked the field goal. Instead we ran play action when everyone knew we werent going to run it since we suck at running the ball. Coach Smith was given a reprieve because they called a defensive penalty. And his dumb ass still went for it instead of kicking the field goal. This decision is just one example of his incompetence. For that, he is being terminated effective immediately.
