Just got me a set of the new R9 irons that were released last week from my rep. I don't jerk around with ebay and all my buddies are set with golf equipment. Jack said it was cool if I used the forum, so if anyone is interested, contact Jack to ge my email. 3-pw, steel shaft, regular flex, brand new.

Mully how do they compare to the AP1's?? Are they as heavy

no. pretty big difference here as the AP1's are a forged iron and the r9's are cast. You would most likely lose some feel, but would no doubt get more forgiveness. Much depends on you're handicap. I would say if you regulary shoot in the lower 80's or better, stick with the titliest. If you're over a 10 or 12, the Talyor Mades would be a great fit.

whats the handicap mully?

it's basically what your average score over or under par is. A true handicap is set up through the USGA. A golfer has to have at least 20 scores entered into the system. For instance , if a guy has a handicap of 10, that means that on average he will shoot an 82 on a par 72 course. Once you have 20 scores in the system, each time you enter a new score, your worst on drops out. Theres a bit more that goes into it like the slope of the course, but this is the simple version.

Mully - I know these are claimed ... but how often do you find yourself looking to unload clubs? I'm in need of some new ones and was too late this time. :sadwave:

Shoot me an email, you should have it from Fantasy Football. Let me know what you're looking for and I'll see what I can do.

depends on which type of handicap. Thanks Mully more like a 14 but need a heavy club because I have the X14's and lost 1-11/2 club distance. 2 buddies from up north have them and love them(again right on as they are 10 and 11)

Just the cliff notes version dunclock , but definitely not WAY off.

From the USGA....

A Handicap Index is computed from no more than 20 scores plus any eligible tournament scores. It reflects the player's potential because it is based upon the best handicap differentials posted for a given number of rounds, ideally the best 10 of the last 20 rounds.A player posts scores along with the appropriate USGA Course Rating and Slope Rating to make up the scoring record. A Handicap Index is computed from no more than 20 scores .

It's very complex to explain to someone who wants to know about establishing a handicap to discuss course rating, slope rating, and all the other factors that give you a true handicap.

Bottom line, if you're playing with someone you need to give strokes to, man up and find another group and play heads up! If you're the one getting the strokes, take some lessons! :mj07:
