Wow. Three words. Quack, quack and quack.

Oregon wins this game by 10-13 points.

Quack your ass all the way to losing your money. I would play Auburn to - 10. Oregon hasn't played anybody, the PAC 10 is a joke this year. :mj06:

It's gonna be a fun game to watch. That is all I care about.

I will take Auburn first half, then depending, do what I have done all year and take Oregon in the 2nd.

I am looking at:

Aub -2.5 -104 Ov74.5 -105
Ore +2.5 -106 Un74.5 -105

With Aub off of a huge blowout(albeit over the 5th best team in the SEC), I would have expected this to open on the other side of 3:shrug: I have been calliing for an Aub blowout for 4 weeks, but the opener of 2.5 has me thinking I'm being suckered in.

Of course, I don't know shit, and my college football losses this season exceed 2800:facepalm:

This is, of course, the best defense Ore has faced this season, and Ore is the best O that Aub has faced. My initial lean would be Aub and under, but not feeling as confident as I was yesterday.

I would have to lean to Auburn as well. Seems logical unless some more crap comes out on Sir Newton.

pinnacle opened the line

oregon -2.5 -114

o/u 75

let the pac-10 sec bashing begin

I didn't see it at ore -2.5.....

It seems clear that aub should be favored when you look at quality of opponents. At first glance, it would have to be of some concern to Ore backers that the ducks have played only 1 game vs an 8 win BCS team, while Aub has faced 6. The poor defensive rankings of Ore opponents is also alarming.

Of course, this is off of the top of my head, and I am curious what it will look like when we look at ypp figures and break down each teams offensive/defensive production relative to the numbers their opponents.

Aub 37-Oreg 30

Oregon is a gimmick offense, Auburn depends soley on 1 person - See Vince Young '05. How these teams D's prepare will determine who wins which makes capping this game almost impossible unless you are watching their practices.

The main difference between last year and this year's Oregon is that if you look back to last year, teams that had more than a week to prepare fared very well (Boise St W, Stanford W, Ore St L, Ohio St W all had an extra week and did well. Ore St lost, but was up in Autzen in the 3rd Qtr) This year, UCLA, USC, Arizona had extra time, but it didnt really matter. One thing is for sure, they are a mediorce first half team waiting for half to make adjustments based on what the other team is doing defensively. As Kelly has said, they are so different offensively, they have no idea what type of defense the other side is going to bring to try to stop them. But, its usually the first time that the opposing D has played that way all year. So, they assess in the first half and adjust at halftime - unless they are blowing them out already.

Their QB is not a great pocket passer, their RB is small. If Auburn does their homework, they can shut this team down - no reason to believe they wont. Of course if they dont play it right and just try to play "their brand of defense" or "out muscle them", Oregon will run and pass up and down the field on them. For Auburn on O, they can't expect that Oregon will be as inept as S Carolina on D leaving WR's wide open all over the field including roaming unmolested behind the D backs. It was a pathetic display and I think Oregon will take away the pass from a so-so thrower and average WR's. It will be up to Cam to run and use his RB's to chew up yardage and keep Oregon's O off the field.

The fact that Auburn plays with a running QB and does some things similar should help their D to be prepared and vice versa. Its a bitch if all you have is a pro style O with a pocket passer to scheme against and practice. I think both teams D will be helped by who they practice against with the similarities.

With such a high total, I'd lean towards a 1st half under. I'm not sold on either team but there they are. Defense wins championships yet we have 2 teams that dont play D very well. Yeah, yeah Aub's rush D looks good but their pass D is a joke and statistically Oregons D is strong but they are helped by facing teams playing catch up all game which hides their lack of physical talent. My eyes tell me both these teams are vulnerable on D and the second half will see 1 or both teams d's fall apart after the O's adjust. I could see a 14-10 type of half time with the over still possibly hitting in the end.

This is going to be a tough game to cap as sometimes a month off is not good for tempo , which favors the defense in the first half of these type games. I was thinking about taking the first half unders if the total points get split evenly vs overall totals.
I will not be placing bets after the game has started as I will be at the game. I swear that I try to not be a homer with this Auburn team, yet....If this line stays at below a field goal as everyone has said in prior posts. I will pound Auburn. Sorry Guys, with all due respect to the pac 10 and the rest of the leagues. I know this Auburn team has the superior talent on both sides of the ball in this game. No coaching edge, No second half edge as both have outscored opponents in the 2nd half this year. I truly feel the time off will serve Auburn better as Miss St, LSU and Alabama were very physical games. Would anyone want to face a healthy and rested Nick Farley?
Look no farther back than last year when Bama on a typical SEC play .........put the qb out for the game.
Everyone has bashed Auburn, Hell.......even the SEC guys in the forum hate us
My Money and My children have gone to Auburn, so ...........I am calling this as "I" see it. GL:toast:

I am beginning to wonder about these lines on Auburn games lately. I guess Vegas still doesn't believe this team is good. I think the weird lines have a lot of people playing the other side and Auburn backers are making some cash. I do apologize for my drunk post that are stupid as usual. I won't be attending the game but will make my last homer play of the year and pound Auburn getting points in this one. :0074

Well Aub is definitely the bigger more physical team... Both teams will put up points... however, I think Auburn wins by a TD

Seeing Cam Newton in person was unreal, he is on another level, call it a homer play, but I think Auburn wins by double digits, people really think Auburn will be the first SEC team to lose the title game, get real.
