auburn played as close to the vest as they have all season. only threw 3 passes over the last 25 minutes of the game. tuberville was just wanting to get out with a win and didn't care what the score was. auburn looked bad tonight. it was there worst offensive game of the year. vt defense deserves some credit for that, but auburn was the best team tonight.

Couldn't agree more. All this talk about Auburn, but the fact is, they are not in the national champ. game and nothing will change this. No point talking about this and the only way to rectify it is clearly to have a playoff system immediately set in place for next year. All this BCS contract BS for the next x amount of years is only going to leave open the chances of the same situation re-occurring.

I don't think it is fair to compare apples and oranges, Auburn was just caught by a good team and gameplan. They didn't look focused, lacked heart it seemed, and seemed a bit unprepared.

Tubberville did play us out of a national title, he sure did. But he also led us to a perfect season. Betaing 4 Top ten teams ( one of them twice ) VT is a damn good football team and like Tuberville said a win is a win. Allthough I am pissed at my Tigers today for giving up the shut out in the 4th by no means do any of you have the backing to say that they are overrated or that they suck. CAL Sucks and they are overrated because they got beat..........AUBURN did not get beat..........Louisville got beat by a Miami team that got there asses handed to them by VT go figure that Louisville would beat AU.

Give me a break, its over and we are not the National Champs but we won every game this season, so did Utah and so will Oklahoma.

Sorry you lost your money on the Tigers guys but to say that they suck is just ridiculus!

I think Utah is a good team but lets not get out of control here; they played one count them one team with a winning reacord and that was A&M and they just got taken to the woodshed by a team Auburn throttled twice. There is no way on god's green earth that Utah would go undefeated in any of the MAJOR conferences and that is a fact. I have watched Utah play 7 times this year and there is no question in my mind if they played in the SEC or BIG XII they would have had at least 2-3 losses. Heck they may lost 2 games in the PAC 10. They just dont have the depth or as physical at the line of scrimmage to consistently win game in and game out in major conferences. They would lose too many players and even with the players they have would not hold up. Utah is a nice team but there is a reason why they are not even in the same discussion about being left out for the NC game.

Just like I predicted a few days ago OU is now favored against USC; I believe the line wil get up to OU favored by 2 maybe 2 1/2. I couldnt believe USC was favored anyways. I think Tech showed how OVERRATED Cal was. Can you believe some people actually thought they were a top 15 team this year. What a joke?? How embarrassing :142lmao:
Rodgers said it was a statement game for them. I guess the statement was they are a complete joke and their defense couldnt stop my son flag football team. That defense was flat out horrible and they shutdown USC AT USC!!!!. Anyone that wants to bet on USC after that showing better think again. :142lmao:

I really don't see Auburn beating the Utes and all of those that say they couldn't win the PAC -10 is living in a hole. The Utes have the speed and the athletes to compete in the Pac -10 they beat the Bears last year and Oregon pretty easily. The Utes beat BYU by more then did USC. True Utah didn't beat the U of A by 40 like USC did but the Utes played them early in the year and in Tuson, USC played them at Home. I think the Utes are every bit as good as the weaker Pac -10 they showed that last year by beating the Bears that beat the Co champions. This year they wouldn't have finished any worse then 2nd IMO. I wished all of those ignorant people that say " wow Utah beat Pitt big Deal" would realize it wasn't the Utes that wanted to play Pitt it was the BCS's way of saying screw you Utah, We are scared of you so we are going to throw you a piss poor team like Pitt that couldn't even compete in the MWC. The Utes have the size, speed, and players to hang with anyone.

Could the win at FL at Georgia at Auburn;
or at A&M not at HOME; at OU at OSU at Texas at Tech; they played one team with a winning record during the season and then played a team that wont finish in the top 25 in Pitt who needed a comeback to beat FURMAN and that game was at PITT; they would get physically beat up in playing that schedule and do not have the depth to continue to get up for each one of those games. I have watched Utah play 7 times this year and like Utah I think they are a NICE team but they would not go undefeated playing in a major conference and that is a fact. Imagine Peterson and OU going up against Utah; he would run for 300 yards. I think Utah offense is very very good and would put up some points but Utah's defense is small and would get manhandled. That being said they had a great season and should be happy about it.

Im not a fan of any ofthe four undefeated teams but I dont think AUburn would struggle against USC or Oklahoma on a bipartisan field. Tubberville played it safe for nearly a quarter and a half which was a error on his part. Personally, I dont think Utah would get blown out by any of the undefeated teams there is just not a huge distinction between the four teams that anyone could say any of the four doe not deserve a shot at the title. Again this year there will be a three way split in my mind for the national title between the winner tonight and Auburn and Utah.

BBK wow that is werid how Utah's defense set a feista bowl record the other night with 9 sacks. Against a BCS sized team. Yea I think they could go undefeated with the breaks and luck other teams need to go undefeated. Yea to go undefeated in the SEC is harder then going undefeated in the MWC but, going undefeated is all you can ask of a team. Once again you throw out the crap about how Utah played PITT. They handed PITT their asses what else can you expect they won handly it wasn't even close. Petersen is a stud and a great running back but what makes you say he could gain 300 yards against Utah? I just don't get this ramdom crap people throw out. Petersen didn't run for 300 hundred yards against anyone oh but what you mean is Baylor is a better defensive team then Utah? Wait a minute Utah kicked the crap out of Texas A&M but they only gave up 100 yards to him on 29 carries. Wait one minute OU beat the Aggies by 7 points yet the Utes beat them by 20. I just don't understand the random crap people throw. I try I just don't.
