It is interesting that in the NCAA betting section you there is a line up for the "National Championship Bragging Rights." The line is USC -3.5

Does anyone know what this is for?

Also, what would you do? I would lay the points

The only thing I think AU would have going for them is Campbells mobility. Mobile QB's hurt USC. Other than that, AU is outclassed.

auburn on the moneyline for $ 1 million and a hat bet on the side with scott.

:142lmao:

plus since they beat us the last 2 years, i figure the third time's the charm.

Maybe. You know what people say, its hard to beat a team 3 times in one season, maybe same rule applys but in years. Plus AU has new OC so its a different AU team than the one USC beat 2 years in a row. On the flip side, its a completely different USC team as well.

Tubby vs Carroll? NO CONTEST
Borges vs Chow? NO CONTEST

Thats where USC wins by double digits. Otherwise USC prob. wins by a solid TD as AU has talented and experienced athletes.

Maybe they mean for next year's title game. Scott no point in buying down to 3. Buy to 2.5 as what sense is it to buy onto a push?

I would be buying down from 3.5 to 3. If the line was 3 then i buy down to -2.5.

When or if I was risking $20,000, and bought it to 2.5, I be laying at least $6000 in juiice. LOTTA JUICE! $4000 is ton of juiice and thats buying just 1/2 pt.

I wouldn't bet 20k on a game if I felt their was a chance of a push at-3. I would predict a 10-17pt victory for USC, a 20+ pt victory if AU turns the ball over.

Scott, you really think Tommy and Al are that much better than Pete and Norm? I think so too, but to say "no contest" is a little presumptious don't you think?

Here is the funny part. I just called Royal to find out what this is about as it may be some sort of computer thing or something and they had their head linesmaker get on the phone. He told me that USC is playing Auburn on 2/7 for the national Title.

Wish it was the case. Am I missing something?

After seeing Auburn almost lose to a third string QB against Tenn, then thier defense flat out "gave-up" in the game against VT, I'd bet the farm on USC.
USC by 20 easily...Auburn is wayyyy too overrated. If they played the Trojans they'd get throttled. I'll bet Louisville could whip 'em too.

I see you guys are still bitter about USC showing the nation who's the boss. C'mon there's more to life than football....ooops I forgot, you prob live in Alabama or some boring redneck state, I take it back.

I just asked today as well before I saw this thread and they said the national championship is going to be played the day after the super bowl and an announcement would be made.

Its simply a plubicity stunt. Kinda hard to get ready for a big game with your best players playing in the senior bowl...

Auburn
I just got off the phone with BetRoyal and told them that I was a student at Auburn and knew for certain Auburn was not playing tonight, and I was concerned about the integrity of BetRoyal. After having my call transferred to a manager, he told me that this was for promotion only. They will simulate the game using a game system, and will end up paying out BOTH SIDES. There is a $50 maximum wager, but he told me it would be free money if I wanted to bet. He asked me to tell too many people, but he wanted to tell me this to ensure me of the integrity of their site. I didn't figure he would mind me sharing with 1 or 2 friends at MadJacks?

So, if you happen to check this in time - and have a BetRoyal accont - I can only go on what they told me - but it sounds like a great opportunity for a free $45.45.
