As many of you have mentioned, Seattle is looking tight right now and feeling the pressure from fans, media, etc. I feel their confidence may be wavering a bit, as everybody has seen the Yankees do this time and time again.

I don't have the specific stats in front of me, but trust me, Mussina has OWNED the M's in his career. The way he is pitching and the way the M's are swinging (mostly impatiently), I see the bats being silenced once again tonight. I'm going BIG -- 8 units -- on Seattle total runs scored, UNDER 4, -150. Good luck to all.

Mussina versus Seattle, maybe not quite as strong as you mentioned:

career:

12 W 5 L, 3.77 ERA, 125 hits and 31 walks in 131 IP, .248 batting avg, 2 complete games

this season:

2 starts, 1 W 1 L, 3.38 ERA, 15 hits and 6 walks in 13 IP, .306 batting avg

April 26: 6 IP, 5 ER, 10 hits, 2 walks, 8 Ks, Loss at home

August 17: 7 IP, 0 ER, 5 hits, 4 walks, 7 Ks, Win at home

Seems to me like pretty decent stats considering that Mussina's the underdog!

I'll take the Yankees here.

Good luck

Pinnacle has runs allowed by Mussina at 2.5-115. So if you are getting a 4, sounds pretty decent.

decent stats? certainly, but I wouldn't use the description "owns the Ms" -- that was really my point.
