SD St vs Fresno St... I believe SD St has more "upside" offensively...*
Fresno's best player is NBA-to-be C/F Robinson... he can shoot from 3pt, and has post moves..
Problem for Fresno is SD's great def C (Mensah).. the Aztecs swarm when the ball goes into the post, so Robinson*
struggles to get quality shots against their defense.
other than Robinson, their team struggles to shoot a decent % consistently... but they always play hard and hustle
Fresno does play very good defense themselves ~ Coach was the Def Coach at SD St before getting hired to run Fresno...
historically, Aztecs have beat em at least L4 innarow (however last wks game went OT, previous 3 were Aztec routs)..*
Both tms are very good defensive rebounders, limiting 'follow shots'...*
Aztec guards are key to their offense.. 2 gd Bradley (built like a linebacker) will post up a lot, and pt gd (Pullian?) has a nice drive and 'teardrop' shot
all that said.. I'm an Aztec alumni, and love seeing how the program has developed w/Fisher and now Dutcher... makes it fun to root for a good program.. and they play as a true "team"
Fresno has a LOT of heart... gun to my head, I'd take the pts.. but I believe SD ML is pretty much a lock.. bet small.. then bet live accordingly!
