Last night while visiting my great-aunt at the nursing home (and I swear it was Vinnie Testaverde getting a pass to leave the institution) I was coerced into playing BINGO with the old folks. Now, this is a no win situation, but for the sake of auntie I agreed. If I win it's just a paltry sum of pennies, plus I run the risk of being heckled and abused by angry seniors. Well, as luck would have it I'm sitting with the near full card at the end of the night just waiting to get this over with and leave for home. Only needed one more spot to fill the card. And then it happened....the caller called out B-3. As I yelled out BINGO I could hear gasps, moans, cussing, and I swear the sounds of orderlies running to revive those that succumbed to the cardiac pressure. What happened next was undescribable and certainly unforgivable. The newbie "youngster" had no right to take the prize. I was run into by grandpas in wheelchairs, had my toes crushed by a 300 pound resident with her walker, and poked and prodded in "different" places by various canes. One old buzzard took a full swing at me but I threw my wife in front of me just in time.

So today while I'm full awake and rehashing this nightmare incident I'm walking out to get the paper and a bee stings me on the arm :cursin: When I got back into the house and cursed the unfortunate incidents in the past 24 hours it hits me. The "SIGNS" B-3 in BINGO....a bee stinging me......ahhhhhh.....take the B...ears-3.....or is it for the B..roncos-3....or the B..engals-3...or the B..ills-3!!!!! Shoot, I'm not looking a gift horse in the mouth. Give me all of 'em Alex :mj07:

That was too much fun. I tell ya fellas, throw away your books, no more checking trends, no comparisons, no crunching numbers, take a break from all that research and homework......Just look for the SIGNS!!! :mj07:

To win on this nonsense goes to show no matter how much work you put into your games (I really did like the Bears and Broncos though :) ) it all comes down to luck. I had fun writing this thread, it's fun to take a lighter side once in awhile. It's good to laugh and I hope you enjoyed it :mj14:

I know next week when I go out to get the paper I'll be naked :scared and walk by that wasp's nest just waiting to get stung in the azz. Trying to align the stars, sway the decision in the path of Washington against the 9'ers. WASp=WAShington. I'll let you know when I'm icing my behind and trying to type at the same time.

I see my aunt has been trying to call. Her name is on the caller ID four times. Hope she's not being blamed for the near riot her nephew caused. I gave her the number for 911 :mj07: but doubt she'll know how to dial it. Oh well....she'll just have to fend for herself. I have a night game to cap......

damn thing is that i posted in the college ...4 for texas last week either thurs or fri texas, tex am tex techand tcu for a parlay moneyline and to play S/U and the damn thing hit but i did not play the parlay....so i said to myself when i read your post i'm going lay on this parlay....THANK YOU
