think BC is the way to go here..yet I still can't pull the trigger. I think the main reason UNC opened as a fav is because all of the talk of the tough ACC and the weak big east. And because they won a few games no one thought they would and played some teams very close (VA Tech, etc) in some of their losses. In all reality I think BC gets the win but for some reason I still have yet to pull the trigger on BC even though the line has been slowly going down for the past 24+ hrs.

UNC was favored for good reason, and it is nt Peterson being out. Everyone knew he was playing. They have been a new team their past 4 games beating Miami(top 10 team), losing a tough one to Va Tech (top 10 team), then winning at Wake and at Duke. They have an outstanding running game, a senior QB and homefield advantage. BC has a good D, but by no means are they stellar against the run. UNC may be the play.

i haven't pulled the trigger on unc yet, but there is no way i would bet against the tarheels today. i have tremendous respect for what bunting has done this year, as he has orchestrated one of the biggest turnarounds in college football i have ever observed. his resurrection of the tarheels' offensive line and linebacking makes him a candidate for coach of the year imo. and remember, it was done with buzzards circling over him and the petulant rams club minions lobbying for his head while slobbering on spurrier's doorstep. bunting is an alum who really loves unc. i can still see the image of him, after the home debacle against louisville, standing on the sideline with his hat over his heart while the carolina alma mater was being played, as everyone else milled around him.

the player's really care for him too, and given their recent history, i have little doubt but they will give 100% today. also, you've got probably the biggest home field edge of the bowl season going today. unlike most of these minor bowls, this game is a sellout at 65 k, and almost every single ticket was bought by a carolina fan.

i think i've talked myself into a play on the heels today. g/l whatever you decide.
