My comments about the Belmont are in DT's thread, I ain't commenting on that race again.

Philly today
Only 3 playable races today and one is on turf which ain't my specialty. Playing it cause the nos. i got for it look valid.

4th race: Zacktas, 2,3 top/bot with 5,6. The 2 or 3 should be solid and the 5/6 are mostly zacka boosters. That doesn't mean they ain't contenders; in fact, that no. 5 horse, Afleet Ahead, would be a side, straight bet if it wasn't for the terrible jockey and almost-as-terrible trainer.

8th race: Turf race :0041
Hard to explain, but the nos./ratings just look right to me. Zacks, 6 top/bot. 2,3. AND also box 3-8.

9th race: The 1A is sooo much sitting on a win and winds up drawing into this solid field of Philly Park very decent regulars, DAMN.. No. 1, Dodgy, is GOOD but it's entry mate, Brandon's Beach, is BETTER. Maybe even coming out of the no. 10 post too. Have to wait for scratches before playing anything in this race. This is my intended play...
Zacktas 1,3 top/bot 4,5 and a little "magic" -> tri box, 1-3-6.

That's it.

NOW, for some exciting hoss wacin. :)

Wrap up

Wrap up

Turned out that the idea of making the no.5 a side bet wasn't a bad idea after all. Bastage paid $28.40.
TOO BAD it was just an idea
lol-031.gif

Topped off the day with a boot in the ass when the MAGIC hits in the last race as well.... 6-2 zackta paid $94.80. Not that bummed out about that one though cause I didn't like the no. 2 at all.

Resisting the temptation to hammer Brandon in the last race worked out today. Didn't "hear" from him at all.... .. woulda been another case of over ANALYZING

Got some scratch money back, just minor losses today. The game plan is to do some serious ass whippin tomorrow or on Tues$. :)

Looks like everybody is hossed out after that Belmont so if anybody is looking for some Mon. or Tues picks just reply here and I'll check this thread out to see if I should post anything.

Gotta go and watch my main man, RAFA, do his thing now. Got it saved. kurby

Good Luck y'awl.

Well, I saw Hammy online all during the CRAZY hours I'm online. Just maybe he didn't open this thread cause it sez SUNDAY?

I KNOW he reads my stuff and if there's a serious racing fan around here.. it's him. Today's picks are pretty wierd so let's give it a go for some excitement ...

BTW, only 2 playables today. One race is a shot at hitting something BIG (Beware) and the other has more substance behind it .. BUT, big field and TURF (eeew). That doesn't mean I :00011 to make the picks; I spend a LOT of time trying to figure the races out.

5th race: zacks - no. 6 top/bot with 1,3,4 AND double the ticket on a 2-6 BOX, I may add a small "magic" play cause the nos. look very good, tri. box 1-3-6 ;)

6th race: Getting a little tired of the Philly racing cards lately - so many short fields, too many maiden waces, and now thems throwing in turf races. There's no way I can start all over again and learn as much about a different track as I know about Philly Park though. I think the most important thing in this game is to know EVERYthing you possibly can about a track and show a good record there for a reasonable amount of time before putting up the real loot.
This race is more like it, except for one huge hitch.. it's on the dang turf.

Too many combos (notbody's around anyways) so briefly, I'll be working with 2 horses in this race, nos. 1 and 2. IF no. 5 looks good in the prerace stuff, gonna add that one as well. As long as no. 5 isn't a DEADHEAD in the prerace, he gets a decent side bet; pretty sure the odds will be nice on that one.

I was gonna play "Pinball Wizard" foryas (LOL) but i'll just write..

Bad luck in that race :(

That no. 2 came in last, but that doesn't tell the real story IMO. Poor start, took the outside "lane", and actually looked GOOD in the running of that race. I'd look for this one next time (odds should be better too). I played that one Win/Place with fairly small tickets (not 2 stinkin dollars though). Plenty of Philly loot still in the money bag today.

Chime in if you're interested in the 9th.

Only got a L@@KER report for the 9th so far, won't have time to really go over them, and plenty of scratches in this 9th as well. :(

Not much to report, nos. 7 and 10 look a bit better than the other.

Possible deadheads are the 4 and 9.

Put a bow on it and wrap it up

Put a bow on it and wrap it up

Had to do a Quickie job on the last race (last races were very good to me lately). Actually, the 9th wasn't a playable race but I was here and had some extra loot to play with.

(BTW, playing around with "extra loot" isn't a good idea in this game).

Yeah, TWO stinkin dollars w/pl on no 7 cause I had to base pick on Looker Report; just not enough time to handicap it the right way.

Still haven't heard from the bastage.. may still be running :(

GREAT DAY today, 4 races (counting the 8th and the 9th) -> 2 bonanzas that were handicapped properly. VERY rare for me to have a day like today when the track is in the shape it's in today too.

Hope some sun comes out tomorrow.
