Hey guys long time no post but I thought I would chime in with an NBA pick or two for tonight.
I have a unit system 1-4 with 4 units being the best.
Jazz @ Rockets
I think the Rockets should be favored in this game but the recent inspired play from the Jazz has made it jump the shark to the other side. The Jazz are below .500 on the road and this will be the start of a tough trip for them.
It was early in the season but Houston played well against the Jazz last time they played and had eight players in double figures. Houston has thrived of late in the home pup role going 6-0 ATS in the last six.
The All-Star break was a good thing for the Rockets and they look refreshed for the game tonight. Battier explained that because NBA players spend so much time together, often more time than with their families, the recent break was long overdue.
As a result, Battier said the ?young guys? had some extra bounce in their steps, and were eager to be back while the veterans were taking it easy.
?It takes a practice to get the rust off,? he said. ?(But) I expect us to play with a lot of energy (tonight), especially with the young guys who will get a shot.?
The Rockets are still steaming from a 33 point loss to the Rockets and will rebound with a win tonight to start the second half of the season.
