Back-up Wireless

My wireless access at the house is provided by the cable company but, I have used NetZero as my USB plug-in back up (have had Verizon in the past).

With all the storms, when the power has been out, knocking out the cable modem, the back-up has not worked consistently.

Any recommendations for mobile, internet service that works for you? Thanks.

What kind of smartphone do you have? I always used my Droid to tether when the power went out, but I have switched to Iphone recently.

I'm sure that is an Iphone equivalent, I just haven't looked into it yet.

If you use Android get PDA net, it's pretty easy.
