Blue,

Glad to hear we another car freak is on this forum. That is one sweet car you have there man, plus that Tranny will work flawlessly. I also have the 4L60-E transmission except I beefed it up to handle the abuse it would be taking, no problems so far.

What gear set(ratio) does your car have in the rear end?

Time,
I make my living working on Transmissions:D ! Me and my father own a Transmission repair shop! I am unsure of the gear ratio that is in the car but I do beleive that a mid 3, like a 3.55 or so under a 9" ford!

Bang!

definitely a nice setup, and that is a bad ass car, is the engine stock or does it have modifications to it like an aftermarket cam and ported heads?

The big question is what exhaust system is on that thing?

Nothing yet! It is just the car with no engine! It has a pretty beefy 327 that is out of the car with a Turbo 400 Tranny! But the Vortec and 4L are coming together! I guess we will be using just a stock motor! Shoot man the one in my GMC 4x4 will pull the gates off of hell right now! So I can only imagine what one will do to that little light ride! Oh and the exhaust will only be FLOWMASTER!

Blue any GM dealers hiring parts guys in your area? It is cold up here! :D

That early duece body is my favorite, the 68-72 is ok and they simply made it worse in 73-74, Hmmmm let me see how many rear body panels did I sell for 73-74? Those suckers rusted out like overnight :(

Seems like to me the 65 had a 327-350 hp factory set-up that would flat scream:burnout

I do remember something special about those blocks I think you had to have a recessed oil filter boss block to fit in those early Novas not sure if that was only 65 back or all the way up to 67. I could do some checking on that for you or maybe you have that block? Or maybe there is a way around that situation that I am not aware of or forget. Many years ago!

Regardless best of luck with it and it will be a sweet machine when you are done with it.
