The Winter X Games in Aspen saw a terrifying moment Sunday night when Jackson Strong, attempting a flip in a Snowmobile Freestyle event, had to bail mid-jump, but couldn't turn off the throttle. After Strong crash-landed, the snowmobile, somehow, landed right-side up and took off like a rocket into the crowd, hitting what appeared to be a young person.

Caleb Moore died today, 25 years old. Sad, but I guess that is the risk you take for living that kind of edgy lifestyle.

Wow, my kids and I were watching it live. I cringed and wouldn't watch any of the replays. I'm still shocked he got up and walked away. Very sad day for his family and friends.

I don't think anyone died in the video clip on this thread. It was a different jump and guy if I'm not mistaken.

You're right - different guy, but a snowmobile accident. Didn't look closely enough at that guy's name.

Well, I guess it is still related to this thread. I watched this jump tonight, and it was pretty bad - looked like the snowmobile skid or whatever it is called landed on his head when it flipped around.

I believe it was the fan who died

I didn't look at the video posted I just knew who had died and that we watched him. I was suprised he had a lacerated heart but even more so that he died. The freaking kid walked away from it. These kids have big balls and are tough as nails. I know his life ended early and they're are people that know him that are hurting but I salute him for living his dream.
