The only people who support this Obama tool, or any candidate for that matter in this election is quite ignorant.

At the risk of being presumptuous, I guess I am quite ignorant, since I have chosen to back one of the candidates for president in this election. At the risk of being presumptuous, I think I have some quite good reasons for putting my support behind that candidate. At the risk of being presumptuous, I think it's people that don't take the time to determine who best reflects their views - despite not being completely happy with our current system or possible candidates - that are the ignorant ones. The ones who sit around and complain, never contact any of their elected representatives, never study positions, never think about the bigger picture of what a President has a role in, etc.

All three of the current candidates can speak pretty well, have experience in our governmental process, seem pretty strong of will and able to communicate their ideologies, and I think any of the three would make a pretty good President. My opinion, of course, but I think those that stick their head in the sand and just cry and moan about the lot they are in with these candidates don't even deserve a vote, in some ways. For those that do make the effort to make the best of the situation they are in regarding this election and look past the BS that's thrown around, I think that shows a lot more than ignorance.

People died to give you the right to elect representation. It's what sets us apart from other societies - some of which we are at "war" with now. Maybe some here should make more of a personal effort to change things if they don't like them. Just an ignorant opinion that I have, I guess.

That's a pretty good post, Chad.

I don't see this latest "gaffe' by BHO being anything more than a ripple. It happened on Friday, first of all, and its already old news.

Second, it was taken out of context for the benefit of shaping 4th Estate angles over the weekend.

Third, he admitted choosing his words poorly to illustrate his point about a demographic from whom he will always have a hard time gaining support, at the same time sending Sen. Casey in to clear the issue up, thus significantly defusing the impact.

Fourth, Team Clinton went a little too far in chastising BHO for the comment by talking about how much she enjoys shots of bourbon and reminiscing fondly about chilly autumn mornings during her youth in Park Ridge, Illinois learning the nuances of firing her hunting rifle.

E) No new ammo for McCain, because he was already trying to paint BHO as an "elitist" liberal.

Finally, he was right. I see no point in sweeping this under the rug, except for trying to get talking heads to see his point and transmit his intent correctly.

If she takes a shot at him Wednesday on this one, she can only hurt herself, imho.

PS.........did I just see a global warming commercial with Al Sharpton and Pat Robertson on the same couch? I think somebody slipped some LSD into my coffee!

Just because I chose not to vote this time, but versus any previous time, that would make me the one who sits around and complains?

If I don't support a single one of these idiots, why the hell would I waste my vote on them?

Might be Doc --but when I think of bitter people--somehow the images of his mentor/pastor and his wife come to mind much more than people of Pn.
---and again when you a state you represent goes from low employment to 4th highest in the nation on your watch--I think its a tad hypocritical to be preaching to another state or nation that will be much more better off with "change" he will bring.
Considering his track record!

Granted there is lot of dirty laundry aired in campaigns--and minor errors inflated--but let me pose a question--most politicians try to offset negatives with accomplishments---Is it just me--or can anyone name one accomplishment he has been able to tout.Only thing I've heard is anti war-change-hope rhetoric.

I'll agree Chad--he has equal if not better education, intellect, communication skills--but other than politics won't get you far in real world without personality/character and fortitude to back it up.
Don't know about your profession --but in mine as well as most others those with similiar pedigrees that don't have what it takes to succeed in their paricular fields are put in teaching capacity earning less than half their peers.
Lots of truth in old adage--
"those how can do--those who can't teach"
--so pardon me if I'm not impressed by these credentials--
If I'm looking for a leader in any field--it will be on merit--not words--and I'm still looking for 1st person including Obama to show me any 'positive" accomplishments other than as you say (education and communication skills). However to his credit will acknowledge that he has had much less time than most for any accomplishments
---and believe they call that experience ;)

A personal friend of mine was just selected to be an Obama delegate and will be at the convention. I never thought of her as ignorant before - I don't know maybe because of her education, work ethic, and life experience. Thanks for the enlightenment- now I know better.

So, every person who gets an education, works hard, and whatever the hell "life experience" means is pure as can be? That doesn't make that person someone unscrutinizeable.

I know alot of people who got an education, but don't work hard.

I know alot of people who work hard, and don't have an education.

I know alot of people who don't work hard, and don't have an education. But, they do have common sense.
