I heard on a news report that the game tonight could be played in sloppy conditions. Went to weather.com and looks like some rain around and they call for thunderstorms.

Anyone in the Miami area have an accurate report for us?

I'm not from Miami, but thier hour-to-hour forecast calls for light rain till 9PM (ET) and then the t-storms are supposed to kick in. I don't know the intensity of the storm so hopefully a local will chime in and give us the low-down.

fwiw, as rain is a pretty common occurence in miami, the orange bowl drains quite well.

I agree to a certain extent. It depends on how much rain there is and what the field conditions are like. If players are slipping and taking up large chunks of turf and the balls are wet (they are impossible to keep completely dry in big rains), then it can effect the game through slips, fumbles, drops and bad passes.

I was caught off guard on the Florida St. Thursday game and didnt want it to happen again. Of course in that game it was rain AND wind. The report I heard made it sound like conditions would be a lot worse than it appears they will eventually be this time in Miami.
