Going to the Bahamas in a couple of weeks for my daughter's wedding. Staying at Sandals Resort. Was wondering what gambling there is on the island ? Is there a sportsbook ? Have been to Cancun and Jamaica but this will be our first trip to the Bahamas. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks Boiler

I am also going to Bahama's in May. Staying at the Atlantis Resort. I have never been and look forward to going. It will be our first get away after the birth of our child. Let me know if you have a good time. Would also like to know if anyone else has stayed at the Atlantis.

Don't know about Sandals but

Atlantis is absolutely AMAZING
Great Food
Great Service
Great Casino
The place is stunning, the amount of money they put into the place is mind boggling. There is one restaurant downstairs from the main lobby where the walls are a huge fishtank. The wife and I are eating Breakfast or Dinner and you have Sharks, Stingrays and hundred different fish swimming past you. The place is huge and in the 7 days I was there I didn't see the whole place. It is expensive though but well worth it. Look into getting the Gourmet meal plan (I highly recommend it).
I have been to Mexico (3 times), Aruba, Venezuela and the Atlantis blew them all away.
Enjoy and bring your camcorder

atlantis- its beautiful but dont gamble there..no sportsbook.
table limits on the weekends like BJ are minimum $25 if they have a lower limit you will wait all night.

go to :

crystal palace - really nice sportsbook ! and table limits are fair on the weekends...casino open 24-7

When I was at the Atlantis in August, the sportsbook was under construction. It should be up by now even with the slower pace that everyone has in the Bahamas.

Sandals is on Paradise Island, I think, so the cab ride to Atlantis will be much shorter than to Crystal Palace.

Have a great time!!

I went to the the Sandals Grand Bahamian last year around this time last year.

I had a blast the resort is great, only complaint was the food, it was OK though.

That Sandals resort is about a 30 min cab ride from paradise island( Atlantis )though.

But there is a very nice casino that is a couple minute cab ride from Sandals with a sportsbook. I think the name was Crystal Chandelier or something.

I would defintely go to Atlantis and check it out it is sweet, just wear comfortable shoes its a ton of walking if your going to check out the aquaruim etc..

The sandals I stayed at was on Cable Beach

FWIW

I was thinking that Sandals was ClubMed which is right next to Atlantis.

Sandals is closer to Crystal Palace, as toast said. All cab rides in Bahamas are standardized based on where your going to/from, but it should be $15-$17 bucks to the Atlantis, $5 bucks to Crystal Palace, but I'm sure that both Casinos will have regular shuttles to/from both Casinos so it shouldn't be a problem.

If you want to go see the aquariums at the Atlantis, get a day pass (around $20) as they have people checking for room keys or day passes whenever you go outside.
