Looking seriously at this one...Houston wins at Pitt on fluke game,
Balt loses to New Orleans in error fest....Balt 6-7 only 1' games behind Pitt has shot at play-offs, after Houston play Clev and Pitt.
Houston generated 40 some yards offense vs Pitt, Balt getting
more heathy, what better way to get on track, and make run at
playoff then a game vs expansion team giving up only 3? Line unduly influenced by Houston victory and Balt loss...

That was my initial reaction, but the more I look at this game,
the more it screams overtime.....and being a 3 pt spread, and
home team getting them.......just does'nt seem worth it......
I still like Balt and may go that way......but trying to talk
myself into other choices........

I agree

I agree

I agree that Baltimore seems the clear choice. In all of the games that Houston has won this season, they have come back the next week for an extremely poor showing. Besides the obvious playoff incentives for the Ravens, I think Baltimore is the better team and should pull this out with defense.

Lets see

Better Offense - Baltimore
Better Defense- Baltimore
Better Special teams - Baltimore

I hit this one hard early this week. Houstons O has scored a total of 0 touchdowns in the last two weeks and have mainly relied on big plays all season. As long as baltimore doesnt give up any big plays they should be able to make this a 2 TD game.

Totally agree with you on this one

beatrix brought up an interesting trend....

houston beat dallas

next week loss 24-3

houston beat jax

next week 38-3 loss

houston beat pitt

next week vs. baltimore...

under billick baltimore is 6-9 ats as a road fave

and baltimore is 1-3 ats vs. expansion teams

only trends but any info is good info

good luck ...cooz

Injury riddled non-playoff teams have nothing to play for; young teams like Houston at least get motivated by progress. I think Houston is more motivated here.

Tricky game. Baltimore has no one that can catch the ball, and HOU has been pretty good against the pass this year.

Balt can certainly move the ball on the ground, and might be able to wear them down that way.

But, even though their D has a lot of injuries, BAL still plays with a lot of intensity, and could easily shut these guys down. And I mean shut them down, like 7-10 points. HOU is still the team that has been 10-13 point dogs to a lot of teams BAL has played tough (JAX and IND e.g.)

Keep in mind, all but 3 pts. last week came from defensive returns for HOU.

Motivationally I'd give the nod to HOU, for reasons like Valuist mentioned, but Billick almost always has his guys ready, especially if they sense a win is possible.

I love the home doggies, but I'm shunning this one. Lean on BAL, but not strongly.

well, in my infinite wisdom (ha, thats a laugh) i forsee Jamal making good, and scoring on at least two occasions, TDs that is. can these texas houstoners match two touches against a decent balt D?

Here's how it usually goes for me.
Doesn't matter the sport.
When I play a parlay and one team knocks me out of it,They enevitably cover the following day or next game:mad:
Last week all I needed was BALTIMORE to wrap up a 6 teamer that would have paid $1400.00 !!!
I find out they had 5 T.Os.:gf:

I'm playin the Ravens to bounce back this week.

Baltimore is only a game and a half behind Pittsburgh and plays them the last week of the season. They are 1 game behind Cleveland and already beat them @Cle. in week 5 and play them in week 16.

They definately think they are still alive in the playoffs. What we think doesn't matter. Hell, the Giants probably still think that they have a chance at the playoffs.

Definitely agree with trey and evil. Balt should roll in this game, this team still has a great chance for the playoffs and will play like it this week.

Houston's offense can't score, so it won't take much for Balt to cover.:thumb: dance2 :Yep:
