Vegas is begging for you and your money to be all over Baltimore tonight- it looks like it's working so far as the public is pounding baltimore right before gametime. I wouldn't be suprised to see a 20-7 final type of score. Baltimore won't be able to move the ball and Denver should be able to capitilize by attacking baltimore on the ground and having a big home field advantage

gambling is different when you are betting with people (most) who have considerably less info and knowledge than you and you are laying 10 to win 11.

That sounds like good business to me.

Vegas goal is to have equal money on each of the game.....hence the line movement. They don't really care who wins the game.....I don't believe that they set line traps trying to win games.
..............................................................

Thats false.

Vegas does not set line traps to win games, they set line traps to win a larger percentage of the money on games.

Equal money is a myth. Get used to it.

That, Gentlemen, would be gambling and is something that any good businessman will stay away from.

oh lord if you believe this Vegas has you right where they want you. Let me help you here. Next weeks eagles saints line should be no less than 6.5. They set it at three to get every single penny they can on the Eagles. And they will get it and the Saints will win. I also wouldn't doubt that ref Ed Hochlii does the game. Ole Eds game deciding and game changing flags are legendary.

sports books are under pressure to earn money in Vegas. The are poor earners for the amount of floor space they use vis-a-vis tables and slots.

They gamble to increase their profits. Again, they know more than most and they are laying 10 to win 11.

That is sound business.

And good business people take risks (gamble) all the time.

I don't buy into the conspiracy theories, but Scott_atl is right, vegas does not set lines to 'just take the juice'. Local bookies do that, but not vegas.

OK....I give up.

If all vegas did was set up traps there wouldn't be a betting public. What most guys who think their are traps don't realize is vegas sets traps for them to. Vegas wants everyones money. They don't discriminate. Square and sharp. So you might very well win this game. Good luck

1978 there were 11 Sportsbooks in Las Vegas Casinos + Leo's and Gary Austins.
1989 there were 37 Sportsbooks in Las Vegas Casinos + Leos
2006 Most every Casino in Nevada(111 in LV) has a R & SB. How is that possible? $$$$$
