Northern Illinois leading the nation last year in covering the spread 81.81% of the time. they even started the year in the same fashion. Just some info i thought you guys could use. Good luck either way you play.

Well if this was Brodie's break out game....

That home crowd at Bryantt Denney sure played a big part as it has the last two times we visited. You take shots at me just because i post my views on the game and a little playful humor. I'd say you need to concentrate a little less on auburn and a little more on the TIDE.

*The win was also Northern Illinois' first-ever win against an SEC team, snapping a eight-game losing streak. The Huskies had previously played Arkansas (0-1), Auburn (0-1), Florida (0-2), Ole Miss (0-1) and Vanderbilt (0-3).

*Alabama (2-2) has now lost two of its three games with teams currently in the Mid American Conference. The lone win came against Bowling Green (21-7) in 1996 at Legion Field. The other loss was a 40-38 setback to Central Florida in 2000, prior to the Golden Knights joining the MAC.

*NIU tailback Michael Turner ran the ball 27 times for 156 yards in the win over Alabama. Turner averaged 5.8 yards per carry in the win over the Crimson Tide. The Alabama game marks Turner's 14th career 100-yard rushing game with the Huskies.

*Turner's 156 rushing yards are the most against Alabama since Tennessee's Travis Stephens ran 33 times for 162 yards and three TDs in the Vols 35-24 win over the Crimson Tide on Oct. 20, 2001 here at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

*As a team, Northern Illinois ran the ball 40 times for 118 yards to become the first team to rush for 100 yards against the Alabama defense this season. In its first three games, Alabama had allowed only 151 total rushing yards on 72 rushing attempts.

*The previous high against Alabama this season was Oklahoma's 27 rushing attempts for 74 yards in a 20-13 win over the Crimson Tide on Sept. 6, 2003.

*The two-point return of the blocked extra point attempt is believed to be the first such return against the Crimson Tide since the rule was initiated in 1990.

*The defensive PAT scored by Kevin Woods marked the first in Northern Illinois history since the rule was initiated in 1990.

Something pretty funny about an Aub telling Bama fans to worry about their own team when there isn't a school with a bigger inferiority complex to their rival than the War Chickens.

Aren't there fan boards for this kind of babble?

Well said Bobby, sorry to hear you bet on bama as well. You can't tell me if the positions were reversed Mr. Crimson would be reminding me what happened. He slammed me just because i said to take NIU and i'm an auburn grad.

As far as an inferiority complex, i think you have to be kidding me. We are not as good as bama this year, nor last year. We were the most over-rated team in the counrty this year hands down. With Campbell and Tubbs we will be lucky to win the west. The only BAD team is Miss ST. Nevertheless, lots of football to be played.

There is a good chance auburn loses to western Kentucky this weekend. 1-AA champs who haven't lost in 13 games. Things are not looking good on the plains

Too close to Wisconsin
Wasn't basing any bet on how lousy Bama plays against small schools but obviously should have. Was referring to a comment about home field advantage when it seems apparent to me that that is not the case.

By the way you beat MTSU by 5.

Hey, sorry didnt mean to bash you. You were right, i just got mad about the whole Hawaii reference. Great call. If you ever see me betting on bama please cuss me out because I usually do not bet with my heart and when I do the bet usually doesnt hit. Good luck to you and I dont mean to disrespect your school, just pisses me off every time that auburn fans just say "roll on to hawaii" in response to the typical auburn/bama arguments.
gl to you and you are welcome to put any insight into any threads i have you were obviously on the right side this weekend.

" Things arent looking good on the plains"

I hear that every year!! As far as the comment about Alabama being a better team....wel thats just bullsh**!! Auburn has better players, stronger players, more team speed and a lot more depth. There is no excuse for the way that Auburn has played this year!! When are the people at Auburn going to realize that Tuberville is a moron and has never and will never win the big games!! Auburn keeps losing games they shouldnt and Tuberville keeps going on Finebaum the following week and totally spinning the loss. The most astonishing thing is that the Auburn people keep buying this horsesh** that comes out of their coaches mouth after every loss!! How can you pay Tuberville $1.5 million dollars a year for the mediocre seasons that he cotinuously produces??? Tuberville is a real "Munson" (a born loser). Lose the coach and you will start winning. How many more "rebuilding" years does Tuberville get before he is expected to actually start contending for a national championship?? He and Mac Brown always get the talented players but can never get the big wins that they should. I apologize if I offended a bunch of Auburn fans but I just dont understand it??

i couldn't agree with you more. Tubbs has never won more than 9 games in a season and he never will unless he is at a 1aa program. I think he sucks, but still better than some coaches in the sec, franpriceshula, cutcliffe, sherill just to name a few.

nevertheless, i can't dispute any of your comments. Cmon tide get out there and whip those piggies this weekend of their high horse

I appreciate the fact that you can understand what I am talking about. I was expecting a pretty harsh, "you dont know what you are talking about," reply from you, as most auburn fans would have done. Tuberville is not a horrible coach, he is just definitely not worth $1.5 million a year!! I am really shocked that big wig on the board down there (cant remember his name) that ran off Bowden, has not ran Tuberville off yet. I think Tuberville really has a lot of fans and administrators brainwashed. He can spin a loss better than any coach I have seen in a long time.

Anyhow, the tide is going to have their hands full this weekend!! I have only seen Arkansas play once and that was against Texas. They looked pretty damn good in that game!! The Hogs big problem in this game is that with the exception of last week, Tide is damn good at stopping the run and run is the only thing they can do. Their qb (Jones) cannnot throw the ball for sh**!! He is not accurate or strong. Its a dead duck everytime he throws it. Alabama should be really up for this game. Especially after that embarrasing loss last weekend against NIU. I like the Tide in this one!!
