After reading the thread header, I wonder aloud how long it will be before Skulnik posts something about Aunt Jemima or Maple Syrup.

I saw the Obama Waffles on a blog the other day. I'm surprised Skul-Kee-2Lips haven't been all over the photo of Obama's plane "Watermelon One" going around the Internet too. Racist humor seems to appeal to a certain neocon element.

the pu$$y atheists told and asked for it to be removed. waaaaaaaa!!! get them some tissues! Atheists trying to get their way again and interrupt another's free speech and attempt to do business.

Personally, I think it's a stupid product, and I'm sure most will see right through it and not buy. I guess nobody can do a caricature of anybody but a white man now lest they be labeled a racist? This drawing is extremely benign and no worse than ones u see on the editorial page daily around the country that are often pro-Obama. How many times has W been portrayed in an Alfred E. Newmanish way?? Maybe the GEICO add with Aunt Jemima on it should be taken off the air too?

I'm sure if it would have been McCain waffles with a picture of caricature geezered out McCain pushing a walker or something the atheists would have been fine with it, right? Blame it on racism. What a joke!

I don't think it should have been removed, people can say what ever they want... people can make fun and laugh at who ever they want..... I do ..... I think these idiots have the right to their stupidity and I have the right to point out their racism !!!! God bless America & free speech ! I posted the ny yorker cover, said it was great political satire ........ this is racism....

Everyone has a right to attempt to be funny, but I think the subject matter is pretty over the top in some situations, like the Point toward Mecca with him in a Turban, and this:

Underneath, it includes a "Barry's Bling Bling Waffle Ring recipe rap":
"Yo, B-rock here droppin' waffle knowledge
Spellin' it out, 'cause I graduated college
Some say I waffle so fast, Barry's causin' whiplash
Just doin' my part, made wafflin' a fine art
For a waffle wit style, like Chicago's Magnificent Mile
Spray whipped cream around the edge
Shake it first like Sister Sledge
Then say wit me, I can be as waffly as I wanna be!
(That goes out to my Ludacris posse)"

Reducing Obama to a muslim and a rapper/posse is no doubt racist humor. At least I certainly think so. Doesn't bother me too much, but it continues to show a side of people that continues to undermine what good he could possibly do for the race situation in this country. And that is very different than "geezer" humor, in any rating system.

I'm speaking strictly about the caricature which is all I saw on Bryanz's post.

Okay, I guess if you stopped immediately at the first pic on the page and made that assessment, I could agree - no real problem with that one. Of course, the one just a paragraph later with the Turban and Mecca reference painted a different picture. But, in a narrow reference, I agree with that, I suppose.

I would also say that to act on the "opinion" of three atheists in this scenario seems a little narrow to me. Not sure what Obama Waffles have to do with a Value Voters Summit, but whatever.

Of course, in many situations in public events, where things are put out for sale, items are asked to be taken down or not sold - for many similar reasons.

White people, white men especially, have fought to be treated as equals in this country for a long, long time. I'm wit' ya!

I'm just one person, but i'm tired of this discrimination against whitey.
