how many guys avg 25pts and 12 rebs per game every year ?
he was babe ruth w/o the championships. his only fault was being too good of friends with jordan. if he had dropped jordan on his ass a couple of times the series would have played out differently. any help from the worst 3 man center rotation ever would have helped. (mark west, joe klein, danny schayes) - oh a the fat rookie oliver miller. tom chambers was worthless too. the achilles injury to cedri ceballos didn't help either.
barkley was an average defender at best, but he was a mad dog on the glass.
as a sixer, he played with pure garbage. sixers traded away moses malone and brad daughtery on the same day ! received roy hinson and jeff ruland and some other trash.
maurice cheeks, dr. J, and andrew toney all retired in his first 3 yrs in the league.
the days in PHO were the best as they all they did was score, but the finals were a major dissapointment as barkley never went after jordan and they blew a 6 pt lead in the final 2 min of that game 6.
the years in houston were no one's fault - they traded the entire bench to get him, drexler was a bitch, and akeem was a happy muslim that refused to block out on rebounds.
in the end, he was a great player and he is a funny color guy. i believe him to be closet racist, but nobody's perfect. he is comical to listen to at times. he isn't the best but he is way better than several others.
emmitt, magic, webber, van gundy, dilfer, shannon not sharpe, strickland, doug collins(makes me want to puke) and many others with microphones are far worse than him.imo
