Your two party thinking is really what makes you a small brain. That sounds mean and I don't really mean to be to you. You don't seem to be a huge ass, but I don't know how else to say it.

The two parties of choice are so much alike its sick. It gives people the illusion of choice. There really is none.

I'm a big boy so I can take it, and I would agree with you that the choice is Bad vs. Worse...

But if you don't mind I'll take Bad if it slows down Worse until there is a viable candidate. If that makes me "small brain" so be it.

Unless you have the magic answer I'd love to read it...as long as it doesn't have Paul as a last name.

The only thing the Libertarian party does right now is takes votes from Rebs and lets the Dems win. Just like the Green party did to Dems.

It's a no win situation. Face it we can only go 2 ways.
Thanks for pointing out the biggest problem with our electoral process... the stranglehold of the 2 party system. Why shouldn't the Libertarian Party, the Green Party or any party that can demonstrate a national following be on a level playing field with the Democratic and Republican parties?

What is it that you status-quo guys fear?

I remember that now. It was a news story for a few hours. He said he didn't write it. I don't see this as being an issue.

Yeah, I guess it wasn't a "big" issue because Ron never had a chance. IF he were winning it would have been on every hour on the hour.

Surely you can get that...right?

Like a said before...until there is a viable option, I'll have to take Bad over Worse.

I'm not against a 3rd party. It would be great if our nation could elect someone who actually wanted to lower taxes, shrink the size of government, and wanted to increase our liberties...but until then I'm sticking with Bad.

That's a pretty simplistic view. Throughout the history of this country, there have been two kinds of wealth. I have great admiration for the first kind: First-generation entreprenuerial wealth. From Andrew Carnegie to Bill Gates, the bulk of their wealth is given back to current and future generations of society through philanthropic endeavors.

On the other hand, I have nothing but contempt for old money that's handed down from one spoiled generation to the next, until it's finally exhausted by generations of upper-class blue-bloods who have all the priveleges that life can offer, but give nothing back in return.

Trench

So, let me see if I understand you correctly. You want to take from the ?rich guys? who inherited their wealth?

So I suppose in death all of your possessions should go to government so they can decide how best to spend your vast fortune. After all your kids didn?t do anything for it?right?

Everybody should have to start from a level playing field?so that way it?ll be fair. Is that what you?re saying????

That kind of defeatist thinking across the electorate is how we got here and it's why we remain here, mired in the politics of opposite sides of the same coin. So carry on... and by all means... don't think outside the box, slave.

It's not defeatist thinking if I know a 3rd party guy can't get elected. I assume you know how it works, and how it's worked for a very long time. I didn't make the rules I just live by them.

You'll understand that someday. (Master) Until then, elections have consequences and you should be seeing some of those now.

You really are a slave to conventional thinking, aren't you?

You said... "Being wealthy is merely a matter of making good choices throughout your life."

I was merely pointing out the obvious fallacy of your myopic statement... :0008

So, it's actually not even up to me if I can get rich or not...

Where is the fallacy part of the statement?

Maybe because that story was nothing? His message has gotten stronger. Everything he preached is happening. I'm surprised someone like yourself is not supporting this guy.

Don't sell yourself short. You're quickly becoming the poster child for defeatist thinking.

The last time a 3rd party was allowed to participate in the Presidental Debates was 1992, when Ross Perot took 19% of the vote. And that was after Perot dropped out of the race from July to October for personal reasons involving his daughter.

So don't tell me a 3rd party isn't viable in this country. With a level playing field and the right candidate, anything is possible. For fuck's sake, we just elected a black man named Barack Hussein Obama and you don't think the electorate's ready for real change in this country?

The RP news letters written by some fringe Libetarian are meaningless.

But let us breakdown a few things

Strom Thurmond vs. Robert Byrd

ENOUGH SAID

Let's compare Ron and Rand Paul to a Great Undiscovered Underground Band with some "questionable lyrics" and this band has a huge following, several forums, and some wingnut posts that this band are a bunch of devil worshippers because they did a cover of Iron Maidens Number of The Beast, it's a great song, I would bet 80% of the people that listen to this band know the song, but in no way does this band worship Bill Gates, errr Satan. :0008 But the bullshit flies, rumors start and ultra batshit blogs and news agencies perpetuate the lie.

Why do you think Faux Noize had such a hard on to knock Ron Paul down? It's pretty simple if you paid attention to the last election cycle.

So anyways, if this band is selling out every small venue, 10,000 seat venues right down the street from big name acts, do you think that maybe there migh be something to this little band?

How about the Blow Job that Lieberman was trying to give Ron Paul in Minnesota TO BEG FOR RONS SUPPORT :142smilie  Take a guess what the good Dr's response was? Being that he was the only Republican Presidential Candidate NOT invited to speak at the convention

I don't mind the guy...I read his two books, (End the Fed, The revolution) so I know what he's about.

BUT HE CAN'T GET ELECTED. Just like the national media got Obama elected (they were very charitable), they would keep Ron from being elected.

The story is huge. If he wrote those stories (maybe he didn't) they (MSM) would never let anyone forget for a second that he was linked to them. Just sayin...
