going into this start, colon was 4-1 with a 3.14 era 22 strikeouts & 7 walks. Not bad numbers for a 35 year old ex cy young pitcher. Boston is paying him couple hundred thousand this season. I'd take him under those circumstances in a second competed to guys like Zito for 100 million.
Be careful betting Boston on the road, losing proposition thus far.

all you say is true, but someone has to pitch those games. Dice k, Buchultz & Schilling are all on dl. Colon won't see the field in post season, it will be Beckett & Dice k just like last season. Someone has to eat those innings, and colon has been serviceable for very short money. Now backing him on the road, I'm not advising that.

Did anyone watch Calzone bat? Hilarious, guy was swinging worse than a bad 4th grader. It was tough for Hamels to not LOL as he was padding his K stats.:mj07:
