-I'm getting this play in early because I'm almost certain that the line is going to rise throughout the day. Tonight, I'm going with the Tigers and back-to-back (maybe) Cy young award winner Tarik Skubal. Skubal had an excellent year once again, going 13-6 with a 2.21 ERA and an opponents batting average of .200 and struck out 241 batters in just 195.3 innings pitched. He performed very nicely on the road with an ERA of 2.30 and an OBA of just .196 and at night he was 7-4 with an ERA of 2.50 and an OBA of .199! In his last 10 starts, he had an ERA of 1.81, only giving up more than 2 runs in a game once and that game was vs Miami. Throw out that game and his ERA drops to 1.32 L9 starts. In addition, he has an outstanding record in post-season play going 2-1 in 5 starts with an ERA of 2.14 and 11.5 k's per 9 innings! His only blemish (to be fair) is that he is 3-2 vs Seattle in his career with a 3.77 ERA, including 0-2 this year But current Seattle players have only a .217 BA against him career while Tiger hitters hit .298 in their career vs Kirby with Kerry Carpenter going 5 for 11 vs him with 5 homers! Meanwhile, Seattle starts RHP George Kirby who was a mediocre 10-8 this season with an ERA of 4.21 and an OBA of .252. He was 5-4 at home this season with an ERA of 3.38 but was only 6-8 at night with an ERA of 4.39 and an opponents BA of .270. In addition, he is 1-2 vs Detroit in his career with an ERA of 7.91! He has pitched 1 game in the post-season this year going 0-0 with an ERA of 3.60! The total in this game is 5.5 and these 2 teams combined are 177-143 to the over on the season. In addition, Seattle is 7-3 to the over 5.5 in their last 10 games while Detroit is 6-4 to the over 5.5 in its last 10 games. Play Detroit for (3x) and the Over for (2x)
