Question for ya, you seem to rely heavily on starting pitchers with the way to explain most of ur bets (Ik it’s not all u look at). If u heavily favor SP‘s, why not key in on 1st 5 inning bets?

1st 5 used to be a goldmine. Now it’s nothing more than a flip of the coin.

actually i look at most everything..........but yes indeed, I do rely more on starting pitching as good pitching is IMO 70% of the game and its more quantifyable to put down in writing. But in my writeups, i do include runs for vs runs against last 5-10 games and run diffential, as well as batter history vs a certain starting pitchers. I also use bullpen usage in my handicapping, but I can only write so much per game or I'd be up till 8 in the morning LOL.......The reason i have NEVER played first 5 inning wagers is exactly what the guys said (much much higher juice) plus its just not in my handicapping portfolio. Thanks for the question Micelli and I hope me (and the other guys) answered it for you...........Jr44

Appreciate the response Junior! The juice can be much higher, but in many instances it’s only a 5-15 cent Difference. Like tonight NYY with Schlittler is -170, only -173 in the F5. Sea-127 but only -115 in the F5. But on the other extreme side of things, Minn is -169 but -210 on the F5! Just wanted to point out, in some cases it makes sense to check it out. Thanks and hope ya sweep the board!

Adding 1 more:

Washington (Littell) +128 over San Francisco (Webb) 1x
-Despite squeaking out a 3-0 victory last night in Cincy (with all 3 runs unearned), the Giants are still a horrible team, sitting in last play in the AL West with a 7-12 record and a -24 run differencial. They have scored only 5 ER's in their last 4 games plays. Tonight, they start Logan Webb who had been terrible thus far in 2026, going 1-3 in 3 starts for an ERA of 5.45. In addition, he is 0-3 on the road this year. He is a vastly different pitcher on the road in his career, going just 32-32 with an ERA of 4.21. Meanwhile, the Nats are a nice tough out this year and starter Zack Littell is off to a great start going 2-0 with a low ERA. The Giants have NO business laying -148 on the road. Play the Nats today!
