Cleveland GM1 -126
-After suffering a 10 game losing streak, Cleveland has righted the ship, sweeping the red hot Astros on the road, scoring 21 runs in the 3-game set and giving Houston's Hubert Brown his worst loss in 2 years! Guardian starter Logan Allen is in excellent recent form, going 3-2 with an ERA of 3.21. In his 2 losses, he was giving NO run support, getting shutout in both games. Allen also has won his last 2 games vs the White Sox, allowing just 2 ER's in 10 2.3 IP. Chicago, on the other hand, starts RHP Shane Smith who is 0-5 in his last 5 starts with a bloated ERA of 12.33! The White Sox are an abysmal 31-62 on the year and are hitting just .220 as a team. I usually don't like to play faves this high, but I see Cleveland cruising to an easy win.
Miami/Baltimore Under 9
-The Marlins come into this game at 2-7-1 to the under, Miami starter Edward Cabrera has gone 4-8 to the under his last 12 starts, and has excellent recent form with an ERA just 2.20 his last 5 starts. He hasn't allowed more than 2 ER in any of these 5 starts. Meanwhile, Orioles starter Dean Kramer has gone under in 4 of last 5 starts an is 5-1 to the under in his 6 home starts this season. It's going to take 10 runs to beat us and I like our chances in this one as many factors point to the under. I see a very low scoring game between 2 hot starters.
Detroit/Milwaukee +135
-We have had a lot of success this year pairing two heavy favorite into one underdog parlay. The Detroit Tigers have won 5 out of 6 and are the best team in baseball, with a sick record at home of 32-15, a huge winning proposition of 1031. Tonight they start last years' Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal, who is having another phenominal year this year, going 10-2 with an ERA of 2.02. The Tigers are a staggering 13-1 in games in which he has started this year and he has excellent recent form, going 5-0 L5 with an ERA of 1.65 with 2 straight shutouts allowing just 4 hits in 14 IP with 23 K's! Seattle, meanwhile are off a 3-game sweep by the Yankees and start Luis Castillo, who despite good recent form, is just 2-3 with a 4.67 ERA on the road this year. In the Milwaukee/Washington game, Milwaukee has won 4 straight, just swept the LA Dodgers and are 30-17 at home this season. and 22-10 since June 1. The Brewers start Quinn Priester, who is 5-0 L5 and a perfect 3-0 at home, giving up just 2 ER in 20 IP, while striking out 21! The Nats start lefty Mitchell Parker who is just 2-3 his last 5 with and ERA of 5.81. In his last start, he got shelled for 9 ER's on 10 hits in just 6 IP. Finally, Milwaukee hits 10 points better against lefties.
