As always, I'll post em as I play em :smilies8

ChiCubs (Cabrera) RL +151 over Pittsburgh (Ashcraft) (1x)
-Cabrera has been outstanding this season with his new club, going 2-0 allowing 0 ER's and just 2 hits in 11 2/3 IP. Dating back to last year, he is on a 5-0 run, with all 5 games being at home. Meanwhile, Pittsburgh's Braxton Ashcraft has been good as well early on this season, but this is only his 10th start of his career and rarely goes more than 4 IP. Just think the Cubs are a better team than the Bucs (especially at home) Play the Cubs on the RL.

La Angels (Klassen) +121 over Cincinnati (Williamson) (1x)
-no real stats for either pitcher, but I believe the Angles are in a better place right now and I'm going with the underdog. The Reds have lost 3-straight, scoring just 7 runs in those games and have scored just 41 runs this season for an average of just 2.43 runs/game. In addition, they are batting just .208 this season. Play the Angels..............

NY Mets (Senga) RL +134 over Oakland (Lopez) (2x)
-Some sites have Lopez listed as the starting pitcher for the A's and some don't, so be sure to list your pitchers. Assuming Jacob Lopez is the starter, he has allowed 6 ER's this season in just 8 1/2 IP for an ERA of 6.51 while allowing 19 baserunners. In addition, his last start in 2025 (on the road), he gave up 9 ER's in just 2 IP. I realize the the A's had the Mets number last night, but I think they rebound today. the Mets start RHP Kodai Senga who has had a nice beginning to the 2026 season allowing just 4 ER's in 11 2/3 IP for an ERA of 3.10 while striking out 16. Senga has a dominant 12-5 career record at home in MLB, maintaining a 2.80 ERA with 197 strikeouts across 29 appearances. Play the NY Mets on the RL...............

NY Yankees (Fried) RL -110 over Tampa Bay (Martinez) (2x)
-Guys, it's Max Fried time again and for those who know me Fried is an auto-play for me. Here are some stats: Fried is a STAGGERING 97-36 in his career with the Braves and the Yankees and while he is slightly better at home than on the road, Fried has a strong career record on the road, with a 52-23 record his last 75 decisions in away games. If that's not enough,he has dominated the Tampa Bay Rays, holding a career 5-0 record against them with a stellar 0.77 ERA with 31 strikeouts, While Nick Martinez is off to a decent start with his new team, he was just 11-14 with a 4.55 ERA in 2025 with the Reds. In addition, the Yankees are a +23 in run differencial (3rd in the majors) Nick Martinez has faced the New York Yankees 10 times in his career, posting a 5.39 ERA over 10 appearances.

St Louis (Leahy) +123 over Boston (Suarez) (1x)
The Red Sox are a complete mess this year, standing at just 4-9 good for last place in the AL East, scoring just 3.25 runs/game. They have NO business laying -141 on the road. Starter Ranger Suarez has beena bust in his first 2 outings, going 0-2 and giving up 8 runs in just 8 1/3 IP for an ERA of 8.67 and striking out just 5. I'm taking the first-place Cards (winners of 3-straight) just on principal.

-See above writeup for info. Just cannot see the Yanks and Fried losing this game. I will live or die by Fried

Well.............the inevitable happened. Took and 0'fer and my units slipped into the negative. I really can't put a finger on why: bad breaks, bad handicapping, too much time doing writeups, putting too may units into play this early but..............it's back to drawing board. As far as my losing Top Play......Yanks blew the lead twice and I'd make the same bet again. This one just didnt work out. The season is barely 2 weeks old and runs through October and I'm not changing a THING (4-6 hours or handicapping and doing write ups)..........JR44

Mama said there would be days like this. No need to change a THING! I think I might have been chasing on the Yankees. Lesson learned.

Oops. Chased on the Dodgers. Maybe lesson not learned. ;)
