Regular Season YTD: +182.01u
MLB Playoffs YTD: -0.26u 🤒

Well.........i dipped into the negative for the playoffs last night which I'm not very happy about. I can't put my finger on it because i haven't changed a thing with my handicapping. I think I just fell into a deep slump for the first time this season (I was once 22+ units up) Let's see if we can right the ship tonight

- The Jays have been waiting for the winner of the Tigers/Mariners Series and (like all season) I'm just not that high on the Mariners, so (again) I'm going to lay some serious wood. The Blue Jays come into this game an exceptional 56-27 at home this season for a a positive outcome of +$1948! while Seattle is a very mediocre 40-43 on the road this season. They have won 6 straight games at home and are a staggering 34-11 at home since Jul 2! During that 6 game streak they have scored 54 runs for an average of 8 runs per game! Tonight, they start RHP Kevin Gausman who has had a servicable record of 10-11 this year with an ERA of 3.59 ERA and an opponents BA of just .216. At night, he is even better with an ERA of 3.09! In his last 5 starts, he is 2-1 with an ERA of 2.78! In addition, he won his only start this season vs Seattle 6-3! He won his only start in the playoffs this year, giving up 1 run in 5 2/3 IP in an eventual 10-1 destruction of the Yankees! Meanwhile, Seattle starts RHP Bryce Miller who was 4-6 this season with a hefty ERA of 5.68 this season, giving up 127 baserunners in only 90 1/3 innings pitched. He was 2-4 on the road with a 5.56 ERA this year and an OBA of .273 and giving up 81 baserunners in 45 1/3 innings pitched. In addition, he is 0-1 in his last 3 starts with and ERA of 6.14! Lastly, in 1 start this year vs Toronto he took the loss, giving up 7 ER's in 5 IP for an ERA of 12.60! Play Toronto for (3x) and Toronto RL (3x).....In the last 8 Toronto wins, they have won the game by 2 runs or more!

i thought you would like my writeup today Canuck.....
Indeed. It echoes my own thoughts. I see and admit my bias, but I am hopefully optimistic about the Jays taking out the Mariners but I don't think it will be an easy task. Mariners have great pitching and will be tough at home. The Jays however won't be as futile as the Mariner's last opponent in cashing in the scoring opportunities I believe. Not sure if you have ever followed the NHL, but these Jays remind me of the 80's Oilers. A team that played well together that was a predominantly offensive team that had just enough defense and goaltending (pitching) that allowed the offense to bludgeon the other team into submission

No beef with you Junior. Just frustration with the Jays completely shitting the bed. Lots of series left.
