Put this morning game in overnight...........

ChiCubs -118
-The Cubs come into this morning's game looking to avoid a 3-game sweep. Despite recent success, The Twins are still a losing proposition at -881, while the Cubs are a nice 54-38 on the year. Minnesota starter Chris Paddack is one of our go-against pitchers this year and there is a reason for it. He is just 3-7 with a 4.64 ERA on the season and his team is just 5-13 when he starts and is in terrible current form. In his last 5 starts, he has a bloated ERA of 7.99! The Cubs, meanwhile start RHP Colin Rae, who has nice recent form. Throw out a game, in Chicago with the wind blowing out and he is 4-0 with an ERA of 3.12. On top of all this, Minnesota is a terrible when playing a game during the day, going just 20-27 this year, hitting just .228. It is very hard to sweep a good team and we look for the Cubs to avoid the sweep in this contest.

Please check back later for afternoon and evening plays.

G/L to all............

Junior...no doubt, it's very difficult to sweep the really good teams and the Cubs are certainly a really good team. Good luck to you! Continued success and thanks for posting your plays. :smilies8

Miami/Cincinnati Under 9
-Marlins starter Cal Quantrill comes into today's game 9-2 to the under in games he has started for Miami, In addition the Reds simply aren't hitting at this point, scoring just 12 runs in their last 5 games, going 1-3-1 to the under with the push (and 7 of those runs) coming against gas can Sandy Alcantara. Cincinnati lefty Nick Lodolo is the starter for the Reds. Lodolo is a perfect 3-0 in his last 3 home starts allowing just 4 ER in 15 2/3 IP with all 3 games going way under the total. It's going to take 10 runs to beat us and I just don't see where these runs are going to come from.. On another note the marlins are hitting just .231 vs lefties this season.

Boston -112
-Boston comes into this game having won 6 straight and 8 of 9. They have absolutely been tearing the cover off the ball, scoring 56 runs during their 6 game win streak. Tampa Bay, meanwhile, have dropped 7 of their last 10. The Rays start RHP Taj Bradley who has an ERA of 5.42 his last 5 games. In addition, Bradley has lost his last 2 starts (both on the road!) giving up 8 ER's in 11 IP, for an ERA nearly 7.00. The Red Sox start RHP Walker Buehler, who despite a rough season thus far, won his last start vs Washington giving up only 2 runs in 5 IP. BUT, here's the catch........Buehler is a MUCH better pitcher at home going 3-2 with a nice ERA of 3.73, striking out 37 in 36 innings with an opponents batting average of just .220. and he is a perfect 3-0 vs the Rays, including 2 wins already this year! I'll take the hot team, with the better situational pitcher, at a nice low price.
