-Today, the Cubbies play Toronto looking to take the series from the Jays 2-1 and are currently 4.5 games ahead of the rest of the pack in the NL wild card race. The Cubs start RHP Matthew Boyd who has a nice season going coming in at 11-5 with an ERA of 2.45. But, digging even deeper, Boyd is 5-1 with a miniscule ERA of 1.66 during day games and the Cubs, in general, are 31-22 as a team. Meanwhile, Toronto has a nice 70-51 record overall, but again, looking further, they are a very pedestrian 25-26 during day games, hitting 11 pts lower than they do in night games. This is where Boyd thrives. The Jays start 41-year-old Max Scherzer who is just 2-2 on the year with an ERA of 4.21 and has gone 2-3 his last 5 games and rarely goes more than 6 IP of 90 pitches. Play the Cubs in this matchup.

Miami +135 and Over 7.5
-Miami comes into this game having smacked Cleveland around 13-4 where 4 members of the bullpen were heavily used, giving up 9 runs in just 6 IP. Cleveland starts RHP Tanner Bibee who has a record on the year of 8-9 with a ERA of 4.60. In his last 4 starts, he has given up 17 ER's on 26 hits, 6 BB's and 5 HR's in 22 IP for an ERA of 6.95. In addition, Bibee is just 5-8 with and ERA of 6.07 at night! Also. the Guardians play much better on the road than at home with a very pedestrian record of 30-28. Miami will start RHP Edward Cabrera who is 6-5 on the year with a nice ERA of 3.08. Furthermore, Cabrera is 3-1 in his last 4 starts, giving up only 4 ER on 13 hits in 25 2/3 IP for an ERA of 1.40! Play Miami as a nice dog and the Over as I believe both teams will score enough runs to push the total over 7.5
