Put these in overnight.............

Toronto +100
-The Jays come into tonight's game with the Reds a sparkling 79-59 on the year and lead the NL East by 2.5 games. Tonight they start RHP Jose Berrios who is 9-5 on the year with an ERA of 3.95 on the year. Berrios is also better on the road than at home going 5-2 with a 3.52 ERA. In addition, he is 7-1 in night games with an ERA of 2.66! He also has outstanding current form, going 4-0 his last 5 with an ERA of 2.46 and beat the Reds last year 10-3, giving up 2 ER's on just 6 hits in 7 innings with 7 K's. Meanwhile, the Reds are just 3-8 their last 11, including a win last night vs the Jays, which gives Toronto added incentive to even the series. The Reds start LHP Nick Lodolo who is just 8-7 on the year and an ERA of 4.22 at home! He;s making only his 2nd start since August 4th and was shelled in his last start giving up 4 ER's in 4 2/3 innings while taking the loss. Lastly, the Jays hit LHP at a .269 clip. I'm aware that this is not going to be a popular pick, but im gonna take the Jays as an underdog.

*NOTE* - bet cancelled due to overnight pitching change. This is a no play........

Boston RL -115
-Boston comes into tonight's game just 2.5 games behind Toronto in the AL East and very much in the wild card hunt. Tonight they start their ace, LHP Garrett Crochet who is 14-5 on the year with a tiny ERA of 2.40 In addition, he has an ERA of 2.33 at home this season and is 7-3 with an ERA of 2.88 at night! He shutout Cleveland last year in a 6-3 victory, striking out 11 in 6 IP. In addition, the Guardians hit just .227 vs left-handed pitching. Meanwhile, Cleveland starts RHP Slade Cecconi who is just 4-6 on the year with an ERA of 4.41. He has terrible current form, going 0-2 in his last 5 starts with an ERA of 7.71! Finally, Cleveland is just 1-7 it's last 8 on the road. Play Boston on the run line............

Please check back later for additional plays

G/l to all.........................

hey, junior, just a heads-up... both my books are showing scott barlow as the SP for the reds tonight, which means it's a bullpen game. unless he's just the "opener", and then they're going to bring in lodolo.

OK........both scoresandodds and don best show Barlow as the SP, but my "main" book still shows Lodolo but at a steeper price. This wager was very much a bet "against" Lodolo so to be fair to all, the bet is now cancelled. Hopefully, those who made this bet overnight declared pitchers and got their money back. Just a reminder: ALWAYS list pitchers to avoid situations like this, which I think most people did.

NY Mets -122
-The Mets are actually doing better as of late winning 8 of their last 12 games and pounding the ball, scoring 88 runs (an average of 7.33 runs/game) during this span. Tonight, they start RHP Nolan McLean who has been dynamic in his 3 starts this year going 3-0 and giving up only 2 runs on 10 hits in 20 1/3 IP for an ERA of 0.89 while striking out 21 batters. Meanwhile, the Tigers are in kind of a dry spell going only 2-6 their last 8 games, They start RHP Sawyer Gipson-Long who is making only his 6th appearance this season (2 starts) going 0-1 with an ERA 4.32! The Mets recent success and the success of McLean make this a play............Take the NY Mets in this contest.....

Boston/ChiCubs +120
-See above write up for reasoning on Boston. As far as the other game, the Cubs are a stout 42-25 at home and have won 3 of 4, scoring 37 runs during this stretch. Tonight they start LHP Shota Imanaga who has nice ERA on the season of 3.06 and an ERA of 2.86 at home! Atlanta, Meanwhile, after a brief run, have now lost 4 of 5 and are just 29-43 on the road for a huge negative outcome of -$2818. The Braves start LHP Joey Wentz who has an ERA of 4.92 overall and a bloated ERA of 6.70 at night! In his last 2 starts, he has given up 7 ER's on 13 hits, 4BB's in just 10 IP for an ERA of 6.30! Lastly, in Wentz' 3 appearances vs the Cubs this season (all in relief) he has given up 4 ER in 3 IP!

NY Yankees -130
-More chalk! The Yankees are back being hot (as predicted) going 7-1 their last 8 games and banging out 60 runs during this stretch (an average of 7.5 runs per game) NY starts LHP Max Fried who is back in good form after a brief downward stretch, winning his last two games allowing only 1 ER on 8 hits in 13 IP for an ERA of 0.69! He is fantastic on the season coming in with a 14-5 record with an ERA of 3.06 and going 8-3 on the road! Meanwhile, the Astros start LHP Framber Valdez, who after a fast start, had a terrible August, going just 1-3 with an ERA of 5.64 with his only win over the hapless Rockies. In addition, he lost his only decision this year vs the Yankees, giving up 4 ER's on 8 hits, 4 BB's in just 5 2/3 innings. Play the NY Yankees!
