ABC National Bowling Tournament is in Baton Rouge this year. Of course, I had to search for the nearest casinos beside New Orleans when lo and behold, Baton Rouge has them. Anyone play at a casino named Casino Rouge? Looks small but if it has a crap table, I'm good.

I'm there April 19-22. Any local help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Baton Rouge is a SHIT HOLE...but with that being said, if you are in town and looking to lose some cash, Casino Rouge is as good a place as any !!

It's a real casino, craps, blackjack, roulette etc.

Have fun..but don't make eye contact !!

LOL

I'll be there in May for the tourney...:D

A "shit hole" huh? Glad to know, but we were only planning on being in town for the 3 days around our two shifts and the 40 frame game before we hi-tail it to the Big Easy for a week of daubauchery.....

Can you tell me anything about the hotel attached to the civic center in Baton Rouge--or the closest one to it?
The guy that does all the planning for the bowling part of the trip is supposed to be getting us reservations there. Just wondering if its clean, etc...

Thanks for any info you provide.....

I'm checking to see what might be the best hotels in the area are myself. tripadvisor.com isn't providing much info for some reason.

Shot 299 last Thursday night. Pulled it and crashed the nose. Left a 6 pin. Boy, the guys really gave me a hard time. I'm saying, "Well, you roll 11 in a row and see how you do. Until then Fvck Off!" Like I missed on purpose.

How you rollin' this season redsfann?

If you want to go to NO they have a casino by the riverwalk. Baton Riouge i think has 2 casinos. If u go 2 hrs west of BR they have i think 3 riverboat casinos in Lake Charles. There is also a casino between Lafayette and Morgan City. And there is one northwest of Lake Charles in Kinder which is a real nice casino with hotel.

299?? NICE. Congrats. You ever toss a 300? I've had a couple of 279s, but nothing better. Like 11 strikes and one 9 count isn't too good...LOL.

Struggling so far this year, Nole. Can't seem to put together 3 good games in a night or have two consistent weeks in a row, either.... High game/series so far this season is 268/691. Not as good as I've bowled in the past, thats fer sure....

Avg is a pathetic 194 as of last Thursday night. Going to do some subbing for a team in a different house starting next tuesday-- they only have 5 guys and they are wanting to take a week off here and there...can't say I blame them....hoping the combo of another couple of nights a month on the lanes and a house with a different shot will help me come tourney time....

Wife's parents are from there and have been to the casinos there a few times. I think Casino Rouge is better than The Belle, ehich is the closest to the Mississippi river bridge. If you want a really fun place to eat annd hang out, go the The Chimes by LSU campus for really good food and next to it is The Varsity which will be a great time and have plenty of young collge tail. :142hump:

Well, I'm married and I can't.....................nevermind. Tail it is!! :)

Thanks for all the replys. Rouge it is. I'll try to find a nice hotel near there. Oh yeah, and near the bowling center too I guess. :)

redsfann, I've been fortunate to roll 11 300's. Of course I've been bowling since I was 8 years old and ran a bowling center for 16 years so I had a little bit of an edge being able to practice alot.

I'm also in the low 190's right now. Bowling 3 games a week isn't going to get it done. But, I know that so I can't get too down on myself.

Hang in there.
