I just read the recap, and there were actually no baskets made in OT, it says that Rutgers dominated in OT going 10-14 from the FT line.

Has that ever happened before no baskets made in OT?

I think that people just have a knee jerk reaction to a puzzling loss like this. Of course it wasn't fixed but if it was I will give them extra credit for factoring in the overtime factor. Very creative, but that just did not happen here. Lots of teams go on 5 minute scoreless streaks, this one was just magnified because of the overtime.

Seriously, If I thought that game fixing occured on a large scale basis, I would be just crazy to wager on the sport. I would simply walk away.

Please elaborate who you think was in on the fix. Referees? Players on both teams? Players on Rider's team only? I don't see how it could have been fixed.

:iagree:

All the talk about fixes in here kills me. Every game somebody loses, they cry about a fix. It is so ridiculous and self-serving. I, like Falcon, would love to know who is on all these fixes. From reading this board, every athlete, coach, and ref who ever stepped on a court is fixing games. Yet, nobody ever finds out about it :mj07: :mj07: Highest of high comedy.

i think the reason for college bball being so inconsistent and crazy is the fact that we forget that they are just kids playing this game

When I was in high school, my sophmore year we were playing our rivals who was undefeated and a pretty good state ranked D1 team at their place. The ended up winning the game by like 4 points. We held them to 0 FGs in the entire 4th quarter, they were PERFECT from the FT line :( LOL

Watching the overtime to this game made me VOMIT. Why were they shooting 3's, only down 6 with 2 minutes to go? I think all their shots were 3's down the stretch...and missed FTs :sadwave:
