I am sooooooooo happy to announce that I was told today by my doctors that I am CANCER FREE

I was diagnosed with advanced carcinoma of the base of my tongue in October 2006. I completed a rather aggressive course of chemotherapy and radiation therapy on February 12th leaving me with significant side effects, that still does not allow me to swallow food. But this will heal in time and I'm looking forward to once again eating a nice juicy cheeseburger. LOL

I am sharing this with all of you now because I hope it will inspire and give hope to anyone out there that might contract this despicable disease. It can be beat, IT'S NOT EASY, BUT IT CAN BE DONE.

Believe me if I can do it anyone can.

I hope this explains why I haven't been around, not that anyone missed me LOL, but I do love this site and all the people here.

God Bless all of you and hope to see alot of you in Vegas in the future.

thanks for letting me know today. you're a dear friend and i sweated the whole thing out with you from day one. the best news i've heard in a long time about anything. i had tears when i got off the phone with you today, buddy. i am so glad everything turned out for the best and if anybody could have fought it off i knew you would be the one. can't wait to hook up with you in the near future and sit down for some junk food and some drinks :D

Great news ctown, just curious, I've dipped Skoal
off and on for years, and am currently with the bad
habit, was it related to that?

Even if it wasn't related to that I'm sure you know what it can lead to.

I'd say everyone here has their vices, and in no way am I passing judgement, but if your worried about it then try to quit, plenty of bad habits to go around :)
