This bowl game is really about who wants to be here today. Think AF has a little more motivation then the Bears but Bears who last year won the Sugar Bowl and are 6-6 would like to end their season with an over .500 record. AF is the No 3 rushing offense in the nation and also the No 1 in rushing defense. Baylor defense was so bad this year they fired their def coord. AF won the CIC trophy beating Army and Navy . . The question is Baylor plays a much tougher schedule losing to K-State { i was at that game} Texas and almost beating TCU. So which team shows up. I think Baylor has had 2-3 weeks to prepare for the AF's flex or wishbone rushing attack. And think although AF defense can stop the run Bears have 2 backs that are good. But Sharpen the Bears qb is very accurate but inconsistent has had the last few weeks to improve on his game. AF qb Roberts has over 1,600 yds rushing and 15 tds but more importantly he leads the nation in time of possessions controlling the tempo and keeping the ball away from the Bears offense.
Tough game to handicapp because again not sure what team is more motivated . Lean towards Baylor who is more athletic and has a solid offense in rb Reese and wr Baldwin who is 5'9 and if he catches it look out. No one can catch him . Think AF run defense might slow down Baylor but if Sharpen gets time and doesn't become erratic Bears will prevail .
Not a strong play . Tomorrow love Houston -6.5 over La Laf think line has moved up to -7 but with Tune and Dell it doesn't matter.
