help me out madjackers. wake is giving 8 today to the eagles, less than 48 hours after danny manning announces that 6'7" soph swingman Cornelius Hudson has been dismissed from the team and 6'9" center devon Thomas has been suspended for two games, for the old catchall "violation of team rules." Hudson's not a starter, so sr codi miller-McIntyre will have to eat more minutes, but Hudson was playing better and just off a career-high 22 pt game (season av. 7.8 pts, 3.3 reb). however, loss of Thomas is huge. wake is a soft rebounding team that almost always gets beat on the boards. Thomas averages 15.8 pts and 10.3 reb per game; without him the deacs will have virtually no presence on the glass. moreover, bc sr center dennis Clifford is coming off the best 3 game stretch of his career, averaging 15.7 pts and 9.7 reb over his last 3 games against unc, Syracuse and Clemson. the line is wake -8, which appears adjusted a couple of points for the loss of Hudson and Thomas. however, given the circumstances, this adjustment seems insufficient to account for the matchups in this game. looks like bc _+ the 8 for me unless someone talks me into believing this is a sucker line.

edit: insert "Thomas" for "Hudson" re: 'huge' loss.

Good stuff Loopster, BC vs WF? WOW!! BC is only school in ACC to go winless in both in conference CFB & CBB in many moons!! Wake in revenge sit is not good and they are not good home favs as well.

We all know teams who face adversity also play harder their next game, both teams in that situation.

I have Wake only winning by 2 w/margin of error of 3. Line is 7 or 8, dog or bust for me.

GL!!

I'm on BC!! This is a game they can actually win. We all know BC is terrible, but Wake isn't much better. Way too much wood to lay when BC has won last 3 meetings

i know hud im watching too. hard to believe this is the same team that took the tarheels to the wire. now announcers say they have a chance at the worst half in the shot clock era. Im so proud to have my money making history.
