1) cant texas still overtake ou in next week's standings?????

say ou gets lucky and barely beats mizzu...the voters overreact and continue to move texas up while sliding ou down.....could texas pass ou?????

2) why is it a given that fla will pass both ou and texas with a win???

i know it's very likely, but what if fla gets a fluke win, the voters have ou and texas a clear 1-2......wouldnt fla have to pass both since they are currently 4th in the bcs standings???

In theory but it wont happen.

Florida on paper shouldnt necessarily pass Texas and OU but will - they will get voted No 1. Florida wont get higher than 3 or 4 in the computers.

It is actually possible that Texas could end up 2 in both humans and computers and still wouldnt play in the Championship.

Voters will never let OU-Texas title game happen and Texas would never pass OU if they win the Big 12 title no matter how they do it.

Here is what is messed up as well:
Bama beat Ole Miss, Florida lost to Ole Miss so why is Florida going to pass Bama and please dont say H2H because then we go back to Texas/OU mess.

If Fla beats Ala, then they pass them. Ole Miss isn't tied with them. Its not a 3-way tie.

Texas won't pass OU because the coach's votes are public next week which means that Mack Brown will have to put OU back up in the top 5. I'm sure with all of his whining this week he mysteriously dropped them out of the top 10.
